Well, it's modern warfare so it's not a regular WWII shooter which makes it more interesting.

It's completely different. Your health is more realistic so someone can kill you very quickly. And you actually get stuff for getting experience points in multiplayer (65 levels+) Plus there's lots of stuff that can change like being able to shoot through walls, or the air raids, and last stand where you can try and take out the guy who took you out.

add that to the customising of you gun (laser sight or silencer, different camouflage, built in grenade launcher or rocket launcher etc)

love when you kill someone then pick up there gun & it's a fully customised gun. You know you've just killed someone very good at the game

I always loved killing during last stand & hear their rage :lol

martyr was a last minute update with was good (basically when you get kill, you drop a live grenade so that if the guy that killed you is advancing, you could take him with you)

The one thing I liked was there was a lot less bunny rabbiting on this game, you can go jumping like crazy to kill and avoid being killed. I was able to get better at this game a lot faster then Halo, I think a big problem for me in Halo is the weapons, I havent got any idea which have better range or better stopping power, etc.. but when its real guns its easier plus they tell you this gun does this better and sucks at this.

Agreed. I am still struggling to understand how I can unload a shotgun blast in someones face and melee them and they don't die, but they shoot me with the cheesey machine gun with 2 bullets and I die right away. Happens ALL the time to me and drives me nuts.

The hard part will eb the different controls. You have to remember which game you're palying and which button does what. In one game a melee attack button might be swapping weapons in the other LOL

This game is so much fun. None of the gay "empty a whole clip into someones back and they don't die" crap. I have been killed about 120 times more than I have killed other people, but I think I was a quick -80 or so the first several rounds I played until I got the hang of it LOL.

I love not having radar so you can sneak up on people. Team play is a little hard for me still because it's not the obvious colors that seperate the teams, but these little icons over your team's heads that let you know who's who. I am MUCH better at "lone wolf" style right now.

You also have to unlock different games types as you rank up and you unlock weapon upgrades as well. If you're playing people who have been playing for a while you'll get your butt handed to you at first because they have better weapons, but you level up pretty fast so don't get too frustrated.

Going by my Beta experience, the upgrade that most improved my skills was the red dot sight

Red dot is the best! As soon as I added it my K/D ratio got much better. I was getting OWNED by people that had it when I first started playing. The only kills I was getting before I got it was when I was lucky enough to sneak up behind someone or caught them reloading.

Tom, killing somone in this game is a lot more easy than in Halo. Yes, it's a lot more easy to get killed too, but if you "catch" somone who doesn't see you you WILL kill them. True. This is one of those games that has everything in its Multiplayer. Personally, I'm one of those people who doesn't at all mind getting killed a ton in a match... as long as I can rack up some kills of my own. This is the type of game that offers that in spades.

I cannot wait to get my new 360 and start playing the finished game (both single-player and Live). :rock

I know. I got pissed when I had the look of one once. I think it depends on which team you end up on. I am still not sure how all of it works yet.

This game is so much fun. None of the gay "empty a whole clip into someones back and they don't die" crap. I have been killed about 120 times more than I have killed other people, but I think I was a quick -80 or so the first several rounds I played until I got the hang of it LOL.

I love not having radar so you can sneak up on people. Team play is a little hard for me still because it's not the obvious colors that seperate the teams, but these little icons over your team's heads that let you know who's who. I am MUCH better at "lone wolf" style right now.

You also have to unlock different games types as you rank up and you unlock weapon upgrades as well. If you're playing people who have been playing for a while you'll get your butt handed to you at first because they have better weapons, but you level up pretty fast so don't get too frustrated.

It's really a blast!

there is a mode in the full game called 'hardcore' which is no radar, no grenade warning sign & less bullets to kill

Well, yes, you do have radar to tell you where someone is when then shoot only as well as where your team members are, but not to tell where the enemy is UNLESS they shoot. Sorry for the confusion.

How in the hell can they think thats an even matchup? The other thing that sucks is trying to join friends. I tried all night to try and join some of you guys and everytime I got kicked back to main menu for the game.

I went at 1:30 and they wouldn't sell it to me because it wasn't supposed to be released until 2:00. I had to go back to work so I came back at 4:30 and they told me that all of the copies of COD3 were sold out and the deal was only good while supplies lasted. So I went home and played some of the Simpsons game with my son.

Usually, any games that are available on both consoles I buy for the 360.

I did get Stranglehold for the PS3, but that was before I realized that the 360 version had 1080p support and the PS3 version didn't. As with Spider-Man 3 and other games, the PS3 version has a lower max video resolution. It boggles my mind...

Just got it to work online, I can't use the server browser because for some reason the network hates gamespy, but it works fine to manually type in the server IP in the command console.

We have had some issues with team play as well. It's booted us out at times. Seems to happen most when the servers are really busy with players and the west coasters said it gets better after the east coasters go to bed LOL.

As for you not being able to join at all...that is strange. Next time we see you we will send an invite...or are you getting them and still can't join?

This game is pretty fun and I can't wait to upgrade some weapons so I can do some serious damage. The match making seem a bit f'd at the moment as I played against a lever 30 in only my second match.

Got up to a 7, but I still need a few more kills for my red dot. They do make it quite unfair for beginners as they don't know the maps, and have inferior weapons.

Yeah, that really put a hurt on my K/D ratio at first ( not that I am much better now LOL ) and especially since I had not played COD3 at all and when I had COD2 I wasn't on live so I just played the missions through once. It took me a while to learn to creep around instead of just running around the map looking for people to shoot.

The thing I hate most is the people who do nothing but hide and wait for you to come by which seems to be a LOT of people. I am not saying run all over in the open, but damn, some people hardly EVER move anywhere. They just hide in building on the higher floor and pick you off. If we ALL did that no one would ever get a kill since we would never see each other.

No I had the same issue with the invites too. I have no idea, the only thing I can thing of is you send an invite but game is full you cant get in. I was able to get in with ill a few times.

Glad to see all the excitement for this game - my good friend for many years was the Chief Developer on it (he co-founded the company that produced it - Infinity Ward, now owned by Activision). Anyway, I'll pass on the love to him :rock
