I just jumped from level 10 to 12 with one kill earlyer today. Got +1005 for some reason, gonna check it out later why i got that many.

well recently when I've been playing it's been against annoying French & Italians

you can't understand really what they're saying but you know it smack talk :D

One group was really bad & we heard comments followed by "stupido" etc

So I just said "I don't understand what you guys are saying but you guys will understand me when I call you a w*nk" :lol:lol

Not proud but they were pure campers just sniping

Also made a comment that "it was the US marines & British SAS & no french or Italian pussies" :D:o

Ashamed of myself, I done a "jpoole" :D

What's prestige mode?

resets you back to start & you have to unlock everything again but it's uber hard to play. You get no grenade warnings & few shots kill you but you get a different badges to show this

Been playing the Campaing mode lately and I thought the end of the sniper mission was a b!tc#. I'm currently on 'Weathering the Storm', where you have to get to the LZ at the bottom of the hill and it is frustrating the ***** outta me.:emperor Anyone have any tips as to how to get past this *****ing level? I've tried everything, going west, east straight up the middle, using the air-strikes, EVERYTHING and I still can't pass it. HELP!! :confused:

air strikes are huge and once you get across the road past the field, just run....stopping to hide behind cover if you get shot too much and see red. that's what I did any way. i remember that part taking me more than a few times to complete. once I got to the road past the field i went down the hill to the right and didn't go down the hill to the left. not sure if that helps any.

From the farm house at the top west, I went across the top to the east & then straight down the east side past the church & the gaveyard only using an airstrike @ the fence just after the graveyard to clear the bottom level & then it's a short run to the choppa

keep on running and shooting untill you get to the church & then wait for your buddies & the graveyard & beyond is swamped with bad guys

Just keep running and take cover if you go too red. Don't take the time to stop and shoot people. Also, lob grenades in the direction of where you're going.

Thanks for the tips guys, this level and the sniper level were pissing me off!! I did make it to the choppa once yesterday, but they left me as soon as I got there 'cause they were at 'bingo feul'. Don't they ever gas up the damn helicopters in this game? :rolleyes:

What part are you talking about? I am not sure, I have beat the whole game on Hardened and about half way done with Veteran level. I couldnt find anything called Weathering the Storm.
It's where you make it to the Farm and they change the LZ on you and you have to haul *** back down the hill near the church and graaveyard.

No I got past it just calling air strikes over and over on hardened. I think I went to the right called in a strike, then right after that one about 20-30 ft past it and started to move up. I stayed right most of the way until you get to the downed chopper, then went as far as i could left and worked my way down final road followong my airstrikes, it took me a bunch of tries but finally was able to break through. I tried that part for about 20-30 min on Veteran today and its a major ***** on Veteran.

I finally gave up on the snipping part I cant even get past the part right after you kill the guy. There are just an *** load of guys waiting for you and they all just chuck grenades so it a major pain in the ***.

Ok I got past it on Veteran Ill. Here is what I did. Go left thru the small house, drop a airstrike by house in front of it, go left as far as you can to rocks then straight foward along right side past the red house(i think it was red) then left along tv tower and drop down goto left side of the house left of the church. from there sit wait for your team to catch up watch you back here too i just sat by the trash bin. Then move to fence drop airstrikes all along that rock area as the strikes hit run through that hole in fence straight at the bottom building jump the white fence, hide by the bottom building, watch you left wait for chopper. Once guys are out and covering make a run for chopper.

It took me about 10 tries but you hit a few checkpoints along the way so you dont have to start back at the top every time.

Ok I got past it on Veteran Ill.
I passed it last night too, it was a great feeling! I'm playing on Veteran, so my next challenge will be to pass it on Hardened. :rock

'Stopping Power' made the difference, I saw your numbers double in those games after you added it, I'd rather have that than 'Juggernaut'. Like I said, it takes one squeeze of the trigger as opposed to three and they're down. :rock

That's weird. I got mine right away. Are the enemies in close proximity to one another? Also, you've gotta make sure that your troops aren't shooting them as well, because if they register a hit on them, even if you kill them with a knife, it won't count. You gotta do it solo.

I was working on the TV one late last night, I think the one you might be missing is in the first room right when your troops breach the tv station. I never saw that one until last night. Just scour every room after you clear it.

I did it in single player, the mission where you parachute and are looking for Griggs. I walked up behind all of them all stealth like and 'Shanked' :D them, nobody else was firing at them. :confused:

Yeah it helped for sure, but I never used to use it. I always used Juggernaut and Deep Penatration ( :lol ) and still racked up 10-15 kills a game easy. My aim was just terrible last night and it seemed that no matter how many times I shot people they just would NOT die.

Even after adding Stopping Power and keeping Deep Penatration ( :lol ) I shot one guy with 3 trigger pulls and WAS hitting him....he didn't drop and he hit me once and I went down right away.

yeah something was up last night because it seemed the whole team had the problem of unloading a clip and them not dying but 2 or 3 bullets into us and we were dead.

They had not even captured the HQ and he was just out for kills. I mean, if he'd had like 30 kills protecting the different HQ's then okay, fine by me, but that guy had something like 80+ kills that game, all by camping. :rolleyes:

50 per kill is for Search and Destroy, in HQ you start with +5 and it increases the longer you protect the HQ...I think.

No, but it's EASY to get a TON of kills if you just camp out. People who are playing to WIN focus on capturing the HQ and getting kills in order to do that. If you're just camping out you can blaze tons of people who don't see you because they are going after teh HQ and not looking for your camping ***. You can rack up a ton on points that way.

it is actually good when playing Headquarters if one or 2 people per team are going for kills in a row so the team gets air strikes and helicopters which hinders the other team from getting the headquarter.

That was a pain to get through. The only way I got through the ambush was to run to the right and stop behind the last desk. Then I threw a grenade to the left and let it blow up the men coming out of the hallway. Run to your left and take a right down that same hallway and then take another right. Just sit tight and shoot anyone that comes at you around the corner. Your men will take care of the rest. Hope this helps.

All you gotta do is run all the way to the right, and stay in that room that is right on the corner, but NOT at the far end of the room. Stay near the door. People will lob more grenades if you stand at the far end. From there, just peek around and shoot. Take out the guy with the RPG on the balcony first. When you see less people and hear less shooting, slowly advance out of the room and straight ahead. Clear out the guys in the office to your northwest, and you'll be good to go.

I took a totally different approach to this one. I stayed back in the server room, then would use the sniper rifle I grabber earlier. I would sit back pick off as many as I could that were straight out the door or just to left or right. Then once you notice the stream of guys coming to you in that area lighten i moved out, took out the two guys upstairs quick. Then move to the rooms on other side. Work those rooms taking out as many as I could until they stoped coming.

YES is was a MAJOR ***** to pass that part. I think I had to do it 30+ times.

This bug has really zapped my energy.

ranking on the level "Death from Above."

It was fun playing Gears fer awhile with you guys but was really dissapointed that all the extra stuff that Epic was putting into the Windows
version wont be coming to the 360 as DLC. (New chapters, Maps, etc)
Which sucks because it looked amazing and the game needs a shot in the arm on LIVE.

New plasmids just came out for Bioshock today as well.

Anyway Ill be back with a vengence when the new Halo maps comeout and

The sniping hit detection on COD4 is the worst of any game I have ever played. I can't tell you how many times I have unloaded up to three dead center mass shots into someone and they keep going. It should be one shot killer without needing a headshot.

You actually have to aim above their head to have any chance for a headshot. It is freaking awesome when you kill someone taking cover behind a wall.:rock It always remind me of the sniping scenes from the movie "Navy Seals".

thats right!!! and if you played the single player missions you learn it!!! i have no problems with one hit kills using a sniper rifle. try using deeper penetration and bullet damage perks. remember there is also a perk for super-powered health (which i think is BS)

Not sure who said it ( Bagles maybe? ), but they were right. This game breeds the most A-Holes I have ever seen in online gaming. I have never seen so many "tough talking" little kids and teenagers in my life. Douche bags like that take the fun out of playing.

If it wasn't for the Freaks I'd hardly ever play online and when I did I'd NEVER use my head set. Hell, I don't use it now unless I am playing online with you guys.

Playing Gears last night after we dropped COD4 was awesome. Bagles didn't seem to enjoy my chainsaw skills though :D:D

I usually go to bed at around 11:00. Once I realized people had left I called it a night. I was up stairs in the bathroom. I came back down and everyone was gone. I figured you all put Gears in so I went to bed.

I think it's just getting to a point of not "feeding the trolls". If you don't give them a reaction they get bored and stop. I am one who really needs to work on not responding. I never do when I play w/o the freaks so I need to follow that pattern when I am on with you guys too. Those idiots just seem to piss me off more when I am on with you guys :lol
When I play online without you guys the headphones plugged in and mic is muted and they just sit next to me. I don't even hear them. I think when half the room is SSF that doesn't help either. I have been in a few times by myself or just 1 or 2 people and I dont get any of the Super whatever they want to come up with.

My favorite is when I make a comment about people camping and Kit goes off about that we weren't camping:rotfl

Do you try to jump straight from thge live screen or single player? I think thats the error I get when I try to accept invites but not on mulitplayer already. It seems to have something to do with the multiplayer updates that they do when you get into the multiplayer. Basicly its your version doesnt match theirs.

I try to remember to get into multiplayer before accepting the invite.

I had it happen to me a bunch of times and started to notice the pattern. For a while I had nothing but issues when trying to play with the rest of the freaks and this was just on of the things i found.

As a mosly solo late night gamer, I really don't have much of a problem with the holes of Arse you speak of. :lol There is the occasional foul mouth or gloater, but in the 24+ hours I've put into COD4 multiplayer I have really not had that many problems. I know that when we get together and really whoop as on people they can get obnoxcious as their tempers flair, specially when they see a group of people all with the same clan tag. But Like I said as I mostly play Team Deatmatch in a party of one I'm pretty happy with my time on COD4. If anything gets outrageous I leav the host and I'm in a new game within minutes :)
