Any comments on the "new" HS?

PL looks great, but man does the HT female body have some sickly looking arms.
Awesome. You may want to snap in her left elbow tighter... it may be her elbow conector is upside down, my Rip came that way, check the elbow ends to check on that...
Seems there is a little light bleed on one of the cage pipes which can be addressed with some paint but I gotta say, the paint apps look great on this thing. :D

Congratulations Eagle . .that PL is a beauty!!
You got this in hand much sooner than I would have expected what with us being in the UK, makes a refreshing change :)
I love the paint app on this, more grime than I've seen in offical photos, makes it look alto more authentic and really brings out the detail. For most people this would be the crown jewel in their Aliens Collection but that Pulse Rifle put the PL in a meager second place lol

The best you can say about HT Ripley, and most of there Aliens figures for that matter, is they are "ish" Ripleyish, Hicksish, Hudsonish. They get the job done but they are not spot on

A little paint work to take the femininity out of the eyes and eyebrows and that'll perfectly capture the "get away from her you *****!" eyes.

Great pictures Eagle, but we need some details!
-What's the articulation like, do the wrists rotate as in the pre-production photos?
-Is it as fragile feeling as has been mentioned earlier?
-Does the Ripley head sculpt look any different then the previous head?
-Anything we should worry about in the assembly?
Here's some pics of the earlier Ripley head sculpt to help you compare if you don't own the original:

-What's the articulation like, do the wrists rotate as in the pre-production photos?
Yes. :)
-Is it as fragile feeling as has been mentioned earlier?
It's fragile in so much as the plastic 'feels' brittle. I wouldn't advise dropping it...
-Does the Ripley head sculpt look any different then the previous head?
I think you can see for yourself that it's much better. :)
-Anything we should worry about in the assembly?
Some of the hydraulic/piston assemblies are 'fragile' - I felt as though I was about to break them, the back rods especially. Just exercise patience when you're building it. When assembled, it's a solid piece and very impressive. Articulation of the PL is very good BUT when Ripley's hands are gripping the control joysticks, the pose is limited.
My only minor gripe is Ripley's arm joints. HT could have done better I think. I was going to leave her in the box but she kinda sets the piece off.
Overall verdict: Probably one of the best replicas I've ever bought and it's worth every penny. And it's not a toy!
:)

I still just can't see anything different in the Ripley Sculpt, other then it's better painted. I'll know for sure when I get mine.
Thanks!

Wow, Eagle! I loved your setup with the pulse rifle, motion tracker, etc. But now....:monkey5 !
I will really enjoy when I get my power loader in. After seeing your pictures, and the closeup of Ripley, I know I am definitely going to repaint her eyes and hair, just like I did with the first Ripley. Maybe give her a more stern and serious look since she's fighting the alien queen mother in those scenes in the movie while she's in the power loader.
I'll take your advise and be extra careful when assembling the power loader. The last thing I want to do after paying over $260.00 for it, is break or damage it in any way! :D

Well, I put the beast together last night, all pretty easy till you get to the hydraulic hoses, it's still easy to do, but keep your wits about you as they're all different lengths. Started the review, so I'm hoping to have that done by the end of the week and i'll take the finished photo's as quick as i can.
Sorry for the rushed pics, but I figured you guys would like to see it quick. I'll do better shots for the review. Have to say very impressed and it has a ton more articulation than I expected.

Is this Ripley as she comes out of the box, or is this a re-paint someone did for you? Still not perfect, but a drastic improvement from the first release, either way.....

we won't know for sure until SS starts shipping them but on my pending order with SS it has $9.86(U.S. shipping) listed for shipping but I'm sure that isn't entirely correct.

Yeah, I called Sideshow last month on October 5, when my last "flex-pay" payment was SUPPOSED to be done...but then got delayed until November 5. Anyways, they could not give me a definite price for shipping for the PL since they hadn't got their shipping quote from their overseas shipper. I guess it'll be around $10.00, but maybe a few dollars more. I just don't know myself exactly how much it'll be....

Shipping from Alter Ego Comics was $12.99 UPS Ground, but it's the same for Pred 2 which has to be cheaper to ship then the Loader. I'm guessing it should be over $10, how much over I wouldn't know.
I really hope it's been delayed until November 5, that would be absolutely perfect timing for me.
JediMike71

The November 5 date was delayed one month from October 5, which would have been my final payment date in Sideshow's "flex-pay" plan. I hope too that the PLs arrive in the U.S.A. for November 5 since now they're already appearing in the U.K.

Thing is, they're not appearing in the UK - and they probably won't officially for a good while yet. We just imported direct from Asia. :) I normally get my stuff early - you just have to stay sharp on eBay. ;)

Exactly like I thought. I ordered from SSC, and I haven't heard a thing yet concerning the shipping of the PL. It'll take a wile before the PL will hit Europe. Usually the US receive their items approximately 3 weeks to a month ahead of us Europeans. So, if the PL is due in November in the US, you can count on it that it will be here in Europe at the end of November/beginning of December. I'm patient.
