Even if he is legit I wouldn't buy from him on bad attitude alone, lack of trying to follow grammatical rules, and a 0 feedback.

"hi first off, this is a pick up auction,!!!!!!!!!you pay on the day and than take your goods,i will not post (it will be to expensive)please dont ask me stupid questions, i'm very busy and it takes me a while to reply."

What a jerk.

Edit: Heh, just thought of something. I should send him a message asking what he thinks are stupid questions, lol

That person comes across like such a jerk, that I'd be hard-pressed
to put in a bid if they were right across the road from me and
I could just go over and pick up the items.

There is no cause, and no place on Ebay or anywhere else for
that matter for someone to be such a stupid Richard Noggin.

Blatant rudeness/impoliteness reeeeeeeeeeealy bugs me. >:

Would if I could be the HULK for a bit, and do the ol' HULK
SMASH on them, and every single one of their items for sale.
(this is assuming that they even have ANY of the pieces listed)
I for one highly doubt it. Lets tally it up shall we?

Brand new, zero feedback seller
Poor Grammar and a rude @$$hole
NO legit pictures of the items for sale
Poor Grammar and a Rude @$$hole
Doesn't accept paypal
Poor Grammar and a RUDE @$$hole
Won't ship the items anywhere
Poor Grammar and a RUDE @$$HOLE!

Wow! It takes a lot to annoy me, but this person succeeded!
*takes deep breath.....................*

So, were I a cautious chap, I'd avoid this seller at all costs.

Be afraid................be VERY afraid.

:peace

Seriously; I bet this hits a few thousand dollars, then the poor schmuck gets the crap beat out of him and robbed. What a great new scam. Why go out and rob people when you can get them to come to you with thousands of dollars of cash in their hand.

Happened to someone I knew. Went to meet someone he knew on a mess board to buy two guns. They then proceeded to bust out 3 machine guns and robbed them of their money and guns.

I've sent them a question on their auction:

Hello! I'm interested in your lot of statues, and wondered if you'd ship them to the USA. Or ifI could fly over and pick them up, and retrieve them? Do you take personal checks? Do you take Sheckles or Deutchmarks? Where are you located? How long have you owned them? Are they all mint/perfect in original boxes? Are some of the items heavy? Are these new statues or have you had them for a while? Would you please let me know the serial numbers if there are any? Would you please send me pictures of each statue? Front, side, and back would suffice so as not to be too much trouble. What is a Sammael Statue? I've seen the LOTR movies before, and I don't recall any Sammael? Samwise perhaps? Saruman? Sauron? Perhaps a typo. Any other items you have to sell? Will you accept paypal so I can get you your money quickly? Would you accept a credit card payment? Are you a new seller? Have you advertised these locally? I'd hate to have the auction ended early. Please reply ASAP. :)

seller said the sammael statue will be given free, he put it under update so i assume it wasnt stated like that in the first place? do you really not know what the sammael statue is? it's from the movie hellboy, the seller didnt say that this statue is from the lotr movie.

here's how it looks like

You might want to put some more batteries in your sarcasm detector.

Well I did send him the question and he actually gave a real response...poop, that's no fun :(

My question:
"Can you tell me what stupid questions are so I can be sure to avoid sending them?"

His response:
"can i pay with paypal, will you post to where i live, can you deliver.......ect"

Oh no!! that must be the first known LOTR related crime committed since 1954 after Tolkien wrote the book....

From that reply you can't tell who the seller is and who the prospective buyer!

:lol

My response received back:

SAMMAEL IS FROM HELLBOY.ITS UK ONLY AUCTION,IT SAYS SO.ALSO NO PAYPAL,SORRY,BUT YOU CAN GET THESE IN US ,WHY WOULD YOU WASTE SO MUCH MONEY IN POSTAGE OR TO FLY HERE,DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE.

Most of you have succeeded in confusing me, because I see nothing wrong at all with this auction!
<img border=0 src="https://www.maxwellsgoldenhammer.com/emo/Dunno.gif" />
In all seriousness- I think most everyone is overreacting to this.

I'm posting this post to voice my opinion only because this is a rare example of where I see something as being totally normal and regular posters on the board are going way overboard and attacking it.

I've become less tolerant of abuse recently.

Of course, as is my usual way of being, if someone can thoroughly explain to my opposing perspective why you're all taking the positions you are, I may find I agree!

From all the replies to the original post, most if not all are in mock of the way the auction has been put.

:rollin :rollin :rollin

Where is the `Attack`??

Christ can nothing be posted anymore!:peace

Nemo,

My aggrivation with this auction, is that it has ALL of the telltale
signs of being a scammer. I haven't been as active in my "polite avenging"
as of late, but this one just hit a nerve for some reason.

I may be wrong, but I'll always be cautious of an auction that
is from a new seller with 0 or low feedback, doesn't show any
pictures of the items for sale, doesn't take paypal, and can't
even string two paragraphs together without typographical errors.

If somebody wins it and it turns out to be real, great!
But I wouldn't bet any amount of money on it.

That's fine, I just think that there is nothing out of the ordinary with the auction, and that's considering all the points JS. The language is not really rude unless you're being sensitive (or something like the lack of paypal sets you off initially). Well, I only say that because I wasn't sensitive enough to get annoyed at all by it, but reading the thread with the same insensitivity, I was quite annoyed. It was that unbalance that set me off (among other things).

I'd like to see someone who is near the seller actually go to the seller's house BEFORE the auction and inspect. Now if only someone on the board was local to this guy!

I would definitely bid on this if I could afford to compete, and lived nearby.

I just emailed the seller, lets see what he says.
