Trailer for "40-year-old Virgin" not OT-unfortunat

On MR & MRS SMITH was the trailer for 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN. Looks to be a mildly amusing film, but I noticed the title character has all sorts of geekobilia in his apartment. Looks like a lot of Sideshow stuff including the Dracula PF. Also saw a prominently displayed Mego Aquaman.

So what are they saying, cause the guy collects he can't get laid?

Hey, Dave, I hate it when film studios exaggarate the truth in bio pics. First there was the movie about Houdini, showing him die while performing an underwater stunt, when in reality, he died due to peritonitis. Then there was the film about Bruce Lee receiving a copy of his Tao when he hadn't actually finished it in life. Now there's this film about the forty year old virgin - I told Universal I was 31!

Geez, glad I started collecting later in life. Things might have been very different if I collected Mego's and kept reading comics when I was in High School instead of smoking dope and drinking and chasing girls. It does help explain the direction things have taken recently though as I now do collect action figures and read comics again. Hmmm.
It is funny when you go to a Comic or Sci Fi convention. I haven't been to many and I'm not sure how many 40 year old virgins there actually are. But there sure are a lot of dudes who look and sound like they could be. Never have I seen so many overweight, balding-ponytailed 30 and forty something guys with bad hygiene in black tee-shirts and shorts in my life milling around and mumbling. I expect most of them are married or have girlfriends though. I don't really care to imagine what there like though. Well, actually I imagine they are the chicks dressed as Klingon's and Romulans at the Star Trek Conventions. Thank goodness there is someone for almost everyone keeping the 40 year old virgin population down.

Its worse than that! As well as having SS collectibles around, The 40 Year Old Virgin also sports on his wall another fave of mine, a poster by Roger Dean for Asia, a band that was a spin-off of Yes, ELP, etc. that is one of my favorite musical "families".
