Finished a personal project today... My Season 8 (comic) Xander. Was very happy with the outcome and these pics do not do it justice. Hope to take some nice shots this weekend as well as my recent stuff. I cut the strap off of the eyepatch and glued a string on his eye socket to replace it. Also glued the patch in place, repainted the face and hair. The pants are from a HT Rambo and the sweater is Dragon and the boots are DID. All in all a fun custom to do. I love my Xander now. :duff

I always thought Xander was one of the better likenesses in the Buffy line, but your repaint has made it a dead ringer.

Oh thats wonderful!

The stylized style of this particular sculpt fits in very well with the cartoon version of this Xander as seen in the comics. Excellent choice of outfit.

The repaint works very well too.

Thanks a lot guys. Yeah, the sculpt is very accurate... if just a tad cartoony in some places. But it works with a solid repaint. I'm very happy with him, definitely one of my favorite figures on the shelf now.

Now to finish Drusilla.....:D

Amazing work Josh.

Now you need and AA Female Buck to make Renee and set yourself up for the 'love triangle' with her, him and Buffy.

That is until Anya comes back as a ghost.

No problem :D I thought those were 'real' facts about the story. Well, I've only read the first issue, so I knew about Renee. But the thing about Anya coming back as a ghost set the alarm! :lol

Well I just got issue 6 today and the artwork seems much better. I think he can draw Faith better than Buffy.

Still waiting for a trade paperback compilation of the first few Buffy season 8 issues... which I believe comes out in November. :o

It really is a great series. I just got the first 5 issues a few weeks ago, and the Xander bit is pretty interesting. Looking forward to the future, what path they take with the various stories.

Now I just need to get the new issue, thanks Anzik for reminding me! :D

It's so cool to have the show back, even if it is just a comic. I love where all the characters are and the arc they are building towards.

And I still think Buffy needs to be with Xander eventually. Dude has always been there for her, waiting for his chance. She needs to stop fighting it...

Even though my Wife calls me a blasphemer for thinking it... :lol

Yeah but remember what Spike said to Riley. "The girl needs some monster in her man."

Xander just doesn't have a dark enough darkside to do it.

I DO wish Spike would come back... :monkey2

You DID hear Joss' plans for an Angel follow up right? He plans on doing comic versions of him and Spike and what happened after the climactic battle at the end of Angel.

Heard about that too! Really looking forward to what all that entails. I also need to watch Angel as well, just to see all that I missed. Seen all the Buffy episodes and only a handful of Angel eps when it was on. Heard that Spike came back there somehow and was there at the end...

I really need to watch it though, can't believe it took me so long to get into all of this. :lol

Spike was great on Angel. I was never that crazy about him on Buffy because he was always made out to be this big badass but was generally just comic relief. Thankfully, Spike and Angel were actually allowed to grow a set of balls when they moved to the Angel series.

Wow, thanks guys!! I'm surprised by the amazing response, at first I wasn't sure how many other people would want a figure of him in his "Nick Fury" gear. I already cannot wait to see all the other versions that will pop up now. If anyone needs any help, just ask and I will do anything to help out. :rock

Not a problem Chuck! I use Model Master Acrylics, mainly 3 or 4 shades for skin... Warm Skin tone, Light Skin tone, Burnt Sienna and a custom mix of the first two shades.

If you blend with your fingers for the nose chip and water down the paint a bit, should be a pretty easy fix.

I repainted Willow lat night and I must say that there is alot of Alyson Hannigan in there. I'm not satisfied with the eyes yet though. I have a considerable amount of glue on the sides of the face where the hair is attached that is irritating the crap out of me.
Hopefully my silicone will be here by Saturday and I can get working on my other projects.

Do you remember which Dragon figure that sweater is from? I tried looking for one this morning simply because it's a great one for another project I have in mind and could not locate one.

Thanks

Thanks Anzik for the bump, and thanks BuffyGirl for the kind words. I really love the season 8 comic and I knew that I was going to change Xander's outfit when I got him... so this was the perfect chance to do it. And I just wanted an excuse to use the eyepatch. :lol

Thanks, T.O.M. I greatly appreciate that!!

The only female body suits I seem to be able to find are shiny leather looking ones, which doesn't really seem to be 'covert' so I might have to make one.
Wish me luck.

OK I would like to know about the pants too if that's ok? I wouldn't mind spicing my Xan man up.

Does anyone know a good place to get a 1/6 female leather jacket that would somewhat match the Buffy one from PG's figure?

And on monkey depot, although sold out, I can't find the sweater.

Here are the ideas I toyed with when I did my kitbash. I did not base them on actual comic imagery (I tihnk I patched the wrong eye for a start) but more on my perception of how I think he could look cool. One is more WWII than the other.
