Being in europe stinks once again. If I buy a regular edition at my local comic shop of the Invisible man it costs me about 45 euros.

I was fool enough to order the exclusive version from Sideshow site. And here's the breakdown of the order.

12" Invisible Man-Sideshow Exc
------------
Sub Total: $45.00
Discount: - $0.00
Freight: $37.00
Sales Tax: $14.36
------------
Invoice Total: $96.36

Shipping and tax cost me more than the figure itself >:

The funny thing is I almost paid just $15 more for the shipping cost for the Morgul Lord and it weights like 10 times more.

Not only that, but for that shipping cost i can pay me a EMS shipping from the US which takes 3-5 days and save on taxes.

Not only that, the bote says i can expect up to 21 days for delivery!!!

Alll i can say buy BYE BYE an d I will NEVER order this stuff from SS site ever again.

Hello evilbay.

Isn't that shipping about $20 over cost?

Really cool figure though.

Yes the figure (I suposse) is cool, from one of my fav film-fav writers.

Well it seems I forgot to mention that i live in Europe (hence the taxes charge). Still makes it is hard to pay more for taxes and shipping than the cost of the figure itself!! .... but I'm afrais that's the price of being exclusive.

I sincerely hope this situation (or at least shipping cost) will someday by better ajusted by Sideshow!

Regards!

I think that SS over charges for shipping, especially for overseas shipping........ I try to buy as many things as possible from other vendors and that way I pay less than half.

My Invisible Man cost me $100 too. It was an exclusive, the first in the Universal Line. The first to innovatively capture the essence of The Invisible Man. I wanted it. I knew how much it was going to cost when I pressed the 'confirm order' button. I still had to have it, and feel well rewarded. The shipping is not of Sideshows making, and accept that I'm not in position to be able to change it, or even sure I want to change it. I feel Sideshow are doing what they are able to, at any onetime. There are cheaper alternatives, but what are the trade offs? The extra expense, is prevention to a situation, I'd rather not deal with.

Thank You Brian, thank you Sideshow. Kiss ass, da dum, sure can. I appreciate that, for paying the added expense that shipping incurs, Sideshow can bring me such items as the Metulant Mutant. This time I'm having to forego the exclusive. I'm happy. I'm sure Sideshow know that, the less shipping costs, the more of their product we're likely to buy. We'll that's how it translates to me and my situation.

I would hope someday there might be some cause and ability to make exclusives available from the European warehouse. Hopefully that will help your situation. I would have thought the added business, from the European market, would sustain an added position, to cater for their huge custom there. All in the future and after time I suppose.
