I REALLY hope the 1/4 Predator will finally be shown!

Has anyone heard anything?

I would also guess that Leia and Obi-wan will be shown, if not more.....

If it's anything like last year, there should be many announcements/preorders. :dance

Hopefully, they show the 1/4 scale Lobot they mentioned before.

I actually would love a Lobot 1/4 figure so don't tease!

This is a much bigger show for Sideshow than Toy Fair - obviously, since they don't have to use Toy Fair to get retailers on board, like other companies - so I expect to see some very exciting things!

c'mon, Predator!

I know this is probably asking too much, but I would love to see a Boba.

And now that I've thought about it more than three seconds, I'm betting we see a nice layout of The Dead line, with a whole bunch (or at least 2 or 3) of the upcoming figures.

We may also see some 2006 releases for Star Wars (a 1/4 scale Fett, or Trooper should would be nice), Buffy/Angel, and something 1/4 scale for Marvel in 2006.

But of course the best part will be any new licenses...

I am surprised no information has leaked to us yet.....

What do you mean nothing has been leaked? They announced the 1/4 predator, Indy license, and 1/4 LOTR. You guys didn't hear about that? Huh. ;)

screamingmetal
06-08-2005, 01:02 PM
And they leaked the 1/4 Star Wars Obi-Wan. ;)

1/4 LOTR ?????
Did they say anything more about that. Ouch, that will be painful for my CC :eek

They confirmed Indy and 1/4 LOTR?? Where? When?
Or....is this a leg pull?

Gruson
06-08-2005, 01:08 PM
The first 1/4 LOTR figure will be Aragorn as Strider.

The 1/4 Balrog will be a web exclusive, limited to only 150 pieces. It will not be cheap.

so how's your leg? ;)

Sir Tristram
06-08-2005, 01:09 PM
OH MY GOD!!!!!!

When did they say this? I have really been working too much! I missed this!!!

When will pre-orders begin for those????

Sir Tristram
06-08-2005, 01:10 PM
Ho w big is the Balrog supposedly going to be? (Obviously it can't be 1/4 scale!)....just 18"-20" like the others?

The 1/4 Balrog will be an oversize item, your shipping quote may not be accurate!:mwaha

My guesses for Star Wars are:

1/4

Obi-Wan
Leia
The Droids (May make an appearance)

Boba Fett will likely come after this group, but I don't know if we'll see him this soon.

1:1

Yoda or Darth Maul

My prediction for the show will be a 1/4 Hulk, and a Pulp Fiction license.

Its fun to make wild predictions.

I think the 1/4 Predator will be shown and I'd LOVE a 1/4 Terminator "Arnie" version T-800 or T-850 in the style of the Cinemaquette.

1/4 Indy would be cool...

Please release more SW and LOTR lithos!!!

Wild prediction - Howard the Duck license! :lol

Sir Tristram

The really sad thing is....I would probably buy a Howard statue!

SwoopingCloakofSureness
06-08-2005, 01:23 PM
1/4 Kill Bill pieces would be sweet. They couldn't really make too many. I would only want B in her yellow jump suit, or whatever it is.

Sir Tristram
06-08-2005, 01:28 PM
Crossing my fingers for a 1/4 LOTR line and INDY too!!! Oh man! Those would be GREAT!

Yes, I can confirm that they did not confirm the Indy license. I thought i made it pretty clear with one of these ;)

I'd like more 1:6 and less 1:4 please. Or at least make figures for collectors of both sizes. Those oversized LOTR helmskeep making my figures fall over.:p

denger4000
06-09-2005, 09:32 AM
is the Indy license gonna be 1/6?

I'll buy everything to do with Howard the Duck, if such a thing was made...

I agree, more 1/6, I can't afford 1/4. Well, I can't afford 1/6 either but I'm still buying!

pordey2
06-09-2005, 09:40 AM
I want a 1/4 fellowship!

airbond
06-10-2005, 06:47 AM
I agree, more 1/6, and especially a 1/6 line featuring:

Indiana Jones (first 500 pieces with 'Temple of Doom' ripped shirt and Sankara stones)
Indiana Jones in tuxedo
Belloq
Cairo Swordsman
Mola Ram
Marion Ravenwood
Henry Jones Snr

Sir Tristram
06-10-2005, 07:58 AM
You don't hav a 'Raiders' Indy on the list there! Those are first and foremost!

airbond
06-10-2005, 12:42 PM
Of course, I meant the first on the list to be a Raiders Indy, just with the extras I mentioned for the exclusive version!!!!

To be honest though, personally that would be the figure I'd be least worried about, just because I already have the Toys McCoy Indy. I'd love to see some 'Temple of Doom' figures, as I thought the costume designs for that movie were great.

Sir Tristram
06-10-2005, 01:19 PM
You have....Toys McCoy Indy.....:|

And...Howard met KISS, so......we could get KISS figures. [ok, probably not, but they'd look so good next to Sideshow's Billy Idol]

1/4

Obi-Wan
Leia
The Droids (May make an appearance)

Boba Fett will likely come after this group, but I don't know if we'll see him this soon.

Nice...but Ep4 has a bit more mileage left in it before embarking on the Ep5 figures. :p What about a stormtrooper, Tusken Raider, Jawa, X-Wing pilot, TIE fighter pilot...???

I know we all want to see Boba, but let's get our pound of flesh from the Ep4 stuff first. :rock

Goblin and Elektra are great, but to get me really excited about the Marvel line I want to see one of the big boys - Cap, Spidey, Thor, Iron Man (not just his armor).

B Electronic
06-13-2005, 10:23 PM
Btw......I think Temple of Doom was great.....

And just before you all start screaming about how it was the worst of the 3, it was the first Indiana Jones movie I ever saw.

And I'd like to see some more bad guys from the Marvel universe.

Gruson
06-14-2005, 08:38 AM
Raiders is my favorite by far. There is something almost "magical" about that movie. It's perfect.

I also like Temple a lot, even better than Last Crusade (which is also great but my least favorite).

how did anyone ever think of farscape yet? :D

FARSCAPE! FARSCAPE! FARSCAPE!

But given the subject of this thread - No, we're not going to be seeing Farscape figures from SSC at SDCC.

Has anyone any thoughts as to what the Dead line has in store? Other than victims for our various scenarios.

Could it take in other characters, such as a torturers and executioners, creatures akin to the occult, such as politicians and other various reapers?

My mind has boggled, I'm sure I'll be surprised. Oh the joy of the trickly how. I'll do a robot banana :banana , then eveything will be alright. :rock

Yep, it's going to be Zombie-centric.
Maybe Sideshow is going to start a new line centering on different characters or creatures or robots or something?
Maybe Farting Farm Animals, you never know.

Think this is out of left field but I'd like to see some big high quality Wallace & Gromit pieces - a french company called Leblon did a few great pieces from the short films but haven't released any new product for many years. With the new film due this year their profile should be up so maybe someone is planning something....

Elsewhere I think another Terminator piece could be due - Terminatrix, Sarah Conner or Arnie astride a Harley (though I'm not sure if Sideshow would take on transport (unless you count horses/ wargs).

On an Arnie theme maybe Arnie in his predator mode but more likely a predator statue (complete with fresh trophy).

Any of the above of course would be must buys for me and should therefore not be announced for the sake of my CC (which is recoiling from the Predator bust its just been hit for !)

If T.R. is done wearing his Rough Riders uniform, it would fulfill two categories, A president as well as Historical line. Please give it a thought TOM.
Thanks,
