I just picked up my 1st customized head (made out of resin, not a commission, just some guy selling copies) and will get in painted soon. It is 1/6th scale. However, I now need to find a good source for custom bodies and accessories (coat, sunglasses, gun, ect.). Does anybody know any good online stores or forums for this kind of material? Thanks in advance.

There's a whole host of folk out there who strip down exisiting 1/6th figures and sell all the parts off - check out what these sites have to offer (I've used them all... and can recommend them all)...

... in no particular order...

Any reccomendations of a good base body to use? The figure is going to be of Leon (Jean Reno). Here is the head I bought:

It depends on the neck attachment and how comfortable you are with a Dremel. That looks like it may fit on a Dragon if there's a hole in the neck.

No hole in the neck, just solid.

You'll need a dremel then to make it fit on any neck, but get the body you want before you start cutting.

Cool, probably find a body first, then go from there.

Yep, Dragon body... or the other choice would be the pre-3.0 BBI bodies (i.e. the slimmer ones); pop the head off the neck stump, pop the peg out of the stump and glue the head on. The stump's ball joint will still give you a full range of movement.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but does anyone know where to find a police uniform with long sleaves. The first link has one with short sleaves. I've been thinking about doing the T-1000 figure custom with one of the Dogget figures. Didn't someone say BBI had a LAPD uniform with long sleaves?

That head sculpt of Jean looks good. I knew who it was just by looking at it. Good luck with your custom :rock

Hey Buttmunch, I found the LAPD Uniform and Gear Set at my old haunt, Brookhurst Hobbies for $24.95.
I'm sure they have it in stock, look under the Action Figures category on the left side of the screen then scroll down to Blue Box.
They are a reliable store, I've bought half of my 1/6 collection there.

I don't have it with me right now at this moment, but that head casting looks like it's off of the original Jean Reno Wasabi Dragon figure. (strangely enough, the Wasabi figure is the only figure I've bought from Brookhurst Hobbies online, the rest of them I bought at the store)
So a Dragon body might be the best mach for that type of head since it was originally designed for one.

Does anybody have pictures of this figure. If the face is painted nicely, I just may pick that up instead and customize from there.

Here you go Dave, just a head shot:
www.famousfigures.com/celebs/celeb5.html (http://www.famousfigures.com/celebs/celeb5.html)
It's the one a little past the middle of the page named Hubert(it was marketed in Hong Kong as Wasabi).

But good luck finding that one MIB, it's a little rare to find one on Ebay. Besides, customizing a figure can be a fun hobby, it may not be perfect the fist time you paint it, but you can always go back latter and strip the head and repaint when your skills improve.
