How do I change my thread subject title?

I tried "edit" post (the first post), then "go advanced", changed the title there, saved it, but it still shows the old title on the thread list.

you are allowed to change the title of the thread for, I believe, 10 minutes or so and then it is frozen after that. After that, only mods can help you out.

You shoud be able to edit any title. If you click on edit on the first post, then click on "go advanced" you can edit the title.

I tried that. No go.

It was well after 10 minutes so I think TOE is right. But I don't know why there'd be a time limit....?
