Anyone else not getting msg about a pm received??

I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem.

Over the last month or so people have been sending me pm's but i've not been getting the standard 'notification' to my email that I have in the past,so I don't know a message is there waiting for me in my Inbox.
My email addy has not changed and the box is ticked in my profile for me to receive this email notification and up until recently I was getting them okay, so I know its not a problem with my email.
Has this happened to anyone else??

Dave, can you fix this please? or do you know how I can?

Had the same thing happen to me last week too. I went into my profile just to double check that the box hadn't gotten 'un-checked' but according to it I should still be getting the emails, but it's not happening anymore.

the feature may be disabled on the server end. i'm sure with this many people on the board, it's a processor and memory drain.

I have missed this feature as well. I didn't realize how much I appreciated it until it was gone...

It works for me, and its even better now, it has the actual pm in the email.

Glad im not the only one, I was beginning to think I had done something to mess it up.

Check you settings. On the PM main page there is a Edit options link, click that and at the bottom of the Messaging & Notification area there is a check box saying "Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages" make sure that is checked. Also make sure this email address is ok in your Junk mail filter.

It works for me, this is what I get, I changed it taking on the member name, the title and the text of the PM but you get the idea.

Thanks for the response, yeah I checked all that and its okay.Same as it always has been, Its not changed, I used to get the exact same message to say I had pm but now nothing.
Ive just logged in to find a pm waiting for me that I didnt even know was there. :confused:

top right corner after login will tell you if you have unread pms. seems only one person's notification is working. mine in enabled as well, but i don't get an e-mail. has to be on the server end. possibly a list was corrupted and the addresses needed to be added again.

Yeah, those are the first things I checked as well. But still hasn't been working.

Same here. My settings are fine but I missed a sale because I never got notified of the PM. :computer And I'd been late at Comic-Con so hadn't been logging into the site, so PLEEEEEZZZZZEEE can we have it fixed. Thanks. :D

i've also noticed the server bogging down over the past day. seems ok now but earlier, it was movin slow.

This has been a problem since the upgrade. I've been trying to find a solution, but haven't been successful since it's only affecting some people and not everyone.

Hang in there, we'll sort it out.
