Damn. I ment Anniversary.:emperor Mixed up the games. The Anniversary art is the best she has ever looked! So this is based on Legend? Have been in production for a while then? It should be an Anniversary PF as that takes Lara full circle. I'm doubtful now. I'll think I'll wait for Anniversary product to come out before I'll buy a new Lara. I'll maybe change my mind when I see the full figure though (so to speak :D)

Yeah, I get the feeling that it was part of the license agreement from Edois, that SSC had to take on other collectible product types to do the ones they really wanted. I don't see anything other then PF and 1:6 doing well but we shall see.
It's strange, I asked the question here a long time ago whether anyone wanted Video Game collectibles from Sideshow, the reception to the idea wasn't very encouraging.

Very nice detail on the base and on the costumes. Wasn't really impressed with the teaser pic, but those of the set-up at Comic-Con do it more justice. Nice looking piece, though not for me.

The NECA statue looks nice, but that the metal pole up her *** detracts from the design a bit. It's probably a temporary part of the statue design though.

I was pretty shocked to see this at SDCC and that Sideshow picked up this license. It's a fantastic PF and I so ordered it. And I'm glad it's the game version rather than Angie. I used to have a couple of the Sota Lara's based on Angie and a couple resin game version Lara's but I got rid of them because of the scale. This is right up my ally since it's 1/4 scale and mixed media.

I thought I'd be upset that I didn't get the chance to pre-order the PF exclusive, but I think I like her better without the exclusive item. I think it kind of blocks her in a way. I don't remember ever seeing a different 360 version. But I mostly just go for the backstage pass. Maybe it was the lighting that made excalibur glow. We'll have to wait and see... *pouts*

I thought I'd be upset that I didn't get the chance to pre-order the PF exclusive, but I think I like her better without the exclusive item. I think it kind of blocks her in a way. Is that 360 new? I never recalled seeing it before, and some things look pretty different. The hair has changed, the clothes are better fitting, and the bottom of Excalibur has some weird purple glow. I think this may be the production piece, in which case, it looks really good.
I'm assuming it's new, I had only seen pics of it before that. Yup, it was added on 4/22, she looks great!

I get what you mean now. Very cool. I am paying a tiny bit less for her so I don't mind missing out on the exclusive, this time. But for next time if it's something I want bad enough I will definitely jump onto the wait list. Thanks for filling me in. :)

As to which 'version' we are going to get, the easy to spot difference is the hair, be it at the front or back. While the gallery images have the hair at the back, both the quicktime 360 and back stage pass show the statue with the hair at the front, at least when you see Scott at the same time. Its very hard to pick, but I had a close look and you can see the hair coming over the front. Whats confusing, is that in the video, when they show and pan over still images, they are using the old gallery images, with the hair at the back.

So, I'm going to stick my neck out a little, and say that the one we will get will be the one in the 360 vid, with the hair at the front (I bet that got change due to likely breaking of the ponytail when it was at the back, now they can support the statue via the head and shoulders in the packaging).

Have you even looked at the 360? That is in no way an optical illusion. The scrolling images used in the backstage pass are older ones, but the parts where he's standing next to the figure, you can see the hair is in front now. The image gallery is old too. You're not thinking of the 12-inch, are you?

It was mentioned on the forum and in the thread. The people doing flexpay aren't being charge this month since it was delayed. And the hair no one knows were it is placed yet, so shut up.

So your saying that the ppl that have already made 2 flex payments from when it first went up, have yet to be charged for their June payment (which was orginally the 20th of June).
The flex payment schedule that is listed on the SS site now is for those that are placing orders now (ppl on the wait list are starting to be contacted) and hence they won't get the PF till around August/September.

So, since waitlist ppl are being contacted, I currently still expect it to ship by the end of this month and the SS website still says June for the shippng date.

As for the hair, nice to see you now admit that its been shown at the front and back. So yes, no one knows for sure yet which it will be, its just that based on the back stage video, my guess is it will be at the front.

Yes, some ppl do get rather "uniformed" when their own eyesight is clearly wrong. But instead of admitting it, they then really go off and just tell others to shut up.

Not heard anything more, but the Aragorn 15-20 day notice poped up pretty fast and out of nowhere (along with somewhat different production images, but I don't think we will have that problem, the 360 already seems to be final production). So yeah, its like SS keep talking about it as if its just around the corner, but their just not willing to set a firm date.

So in theory its just around the corner, they just don't know exactly which corner, but then a number of things have been getting delayed and not just SS stuff. Lets see what this weeks newsletter brings, unless the notice goes out beforehand.

I too am ordering from a local store, but ppl on the Statue Forum have posted their 15 day notice email from Sideshow and that was about 1-2 days ago. Hence, if it all holds true, I figured ppl in the US that ordered direct from SS, should see it in about 2 weeks.
Mind you, that then hits SDCC rather head on, so I wouldn't be too surprised if it blows out another week. But even so, many in the US should be posting in-hand pics before the end of the month.

Well, that 15 day notice was for ppl in the US. Since your in the UK, I suspect they are waiting a little longer to confirm arrival date in the UK warehouse.

Check out the later Quicktime 360, I think that is more what you should be expecting, notice the hair at the front.

And the confusion has also now been explained about the hair being shown by SS on the back and front, its seperate and connected by a magnetic, so I assume it does still work both ways.

Congrats, she is a gorgeous piece. And honestly, with a clean break like that she is an easy fix. The paint apps on your's is gorgeous. May have returned her and gotten no chips or breakage, but who knows if you would have gotten as stellar of a paint job as this one shows through in your pics.

Hello all, I got my PF Lara Croft ES today, stupid Fed Ex never knocked on my door, and i waited all day yesterday, until I opened the door 10 min after they showed up wondering where they were, and got the we were here door tag. Stupid Fed Ex Ninjas (even my dogs didnt bark) do they have to be so sneaky, just freakin knock like you mean it. same boat as yourself but from personal past pre-orders it can take this long to transfer and post out.... but having said that I just got tracking info for it 2 minutes ago so will hopefully be here tomorrow

Yeah I'm still hesitant on getting one of these, but the anniversary gear would've been the clincher. And it's still feasible that we'll see one, which would only give me buyer's remorse over the Legend PF.

just received my lara today, and yeah it's a very well done statue. my question is this, mine is a ex. and the sword doen't seem to fit properly, meaning that it goes into the hole, but it seem to want to stand at a bad angle. does anyone else have the same prob? i was thinking to just take a drill and slightly ream out the hole.
