Someone at the Spawn boards says there's an open mouthed sculpt for the P2 figure:

Man, I hope thats true! The closed mouth is nice so you can have the helmet, but I'd love to have a fully opened screaming version! They always look more aggressive with the open mouth.

This is pretty sweet news! The first two Preds really need to have open mouth heads as well as masked ones. Once the mask came off in those movies everything went to hell for the hero!

I don't know about this. I like slipping the helmet on and off. And the heads haven't been easily swappable in the past so maybe this means you gotta choose between wearing the mask and not. I don't know...

Fantastic news! I was going to get him regardless but this just makes it so much sweeter!
Now I have to think of which way I'm going to display him, screaming head or regular head with helmet option? I sometimes think it would just be easier to get two of these guys. :D

They might just be showcasing both the mask on a head and the head itself.

But if there are two separate heads, wouldn't the maskless one have its mandibles stretched out or something?No sense in making another head if it doesn't look like the Predator's roaring or something. Speaking of which, maybe Hot Toys should look into "bendable mandibles" for the Predator hmmm....

use a blow dryer on the heads. they come off easily after they become warm..

Yeah,it's gonna be some convention exclusive.Also if you look on SS's site and description of their Predator 2,it says nothing about a second head or bloody stump for that matter.Im all most certain the second head/bloody stump Predator 2 is gonna be an exclusive.

Well look at the evidence.Wasn't there Ani-com Exclusive Scar that came with an extra head,with green blood on it.I don't think that their just going to give us an extra head and bloody stump for a regular release.It's just common sense that the extra head Predator 2 would be an exclusive and it's like I said in one of my last post's,the Predator 2 on SS's website says nothing about an extra head or bloody stump.But hey that's just what I think.

I'm now positive this is an exclusive variant, the HT website calls the same one Sideshow is offering the "Normal Version" on the front page:

This HT exclusive crap sucks balls. I'd rather pay an extra $20-$30 on one release with two heads then buy two of the same figure for $130+ apiece. I hate the way the mask turned out, and would rather display my Predator with the open mouth head, but if that version doesn't come with a whole left arm, then I'd be forced to buy the regular release because I'm just not liking the severed arm look at all.
My ideal Predator 2 would be with the open mouth head and whole left arm. Maybe it would be best to get the exclusive Pred and the body from the regular release off Ebay?
Hopefully Sideshow will carry a limited number of the exclusive so I don't have to pay Toy Square prices.

Yep, it would really suck if it took 2 figures to create the perfect version... now its entirely possible that the variant would have a swappable forearm. But it all speculation at this point.

You're right, It could have a whole left forearm and hand included. Personally, I hope it has a whole second left arm so the gauntlet doesn't have a seam through the middle of it. :monkey2
It wouldn't make sense to have the closed mouth head and mask included with him and not have a whole left arm, he had the mask off by the time he lost the arm.

i'm hoping it's just poor nomenclature and there will be only one P2 pred with both heads and both arms. i hope that because hot toys have 2 preds from this movie and the other is called elder version, they just didn't know what to call the main pred and called him normal version.

i hope but i'm probably wasting my breath. hot toys is the most annoying company when it comes to exclusives as they never seem to tell us there'll be one, so everyone is stuck with preorders for a slightly less desirable fig.

There is no place to pre-order the supposed Predator 2 Exclusive and it probably won't be up for pre-order until around the same time the original HT Pred 2 figure comes out....then you might start seeing pre-orders pop up.

Yeah, if you look closely at the pic, you can see blur lines. The head is more in focus than any other part of the figure.

I'm assuming because the "other" version is the Elder Predator, as they are both from Predator 2.
