View Full Version : New rules for commerce section

There is now a minimum post count requirement for accessing the commerce section (except dealers forum). If you can't see the For sale/trade forums then you don't meet the requirement.

Any sale/trade posts outside of the Commerce section will still be deleted or moved.

Sounds good to me! Thanks Dave. Not actually a bad idea. Wouldn't want a PAM to come around. LOL! :lol

Dave owns Newbies !!!! :rock:rock:rock

Seriously....I think it is only fair that a new member here takes the time to make himself known to the other boarders before trading stuff.

Great decision.

I most definitely trust dealing with people more who become involved in a community. Chances are a guy or girl isn't going to stiff you if you're faithful to a forum/community. Most people use forums like the SideShow Freaks boards as a social hub, and often make friendships that go beyond these forums. So there is little chance someone would want to ruin their re****tion and good name with that said. However, if it's some newbie who has no background or any friendships made on these forums the chances are more likely (not always) that the person(s) will take advantage of you.

So on that note, I got to say this was a great approach to take on Darklord Dave! This will definitely make things easier in the scheme of things.

Well I'm probably one of the 'noobs' that prompted this!

I must say I was surprised that there were no restrictions already in place for posting items for sale. I agree it's a good idea in general although why we can't view the items for sale is perplexing as you have to hand the money over before you get the item.

I also must stress it's difficult to rip someone off on a cash on collection sale like mine was :lol

Ignore me, you couldn't access it this morning when I first tried, obviously can now!

I do agree with the new minimum post count requirement, it seems reasonable. But I completed a sale with punkg42 a week ago, I left him feedback but he can't leave me any because he's at 45 posts.
Perhaps there could be a way to post feedback for completed transactions if a mod was contacted by both parties even if one was below the post requirement?

Thats a good concern. If he contacts me directly regarding your feedback (via PM) I will be glad to add it. :duff
