Please post pics with flash and without flash.

07-07-2005, 11:05 AM
Come on then...The pics...Give me the pics.:p :drool :p

07-07-2005, 11:31 AM
You didn't read the FAQ section did ya. You are now subject to 1 lash per member of this board for posting a thread without pics of a new product.:whip

07-07-2005, 12:06 PM
Here's mine,:whip ..Come on pics already.:p :p :p

07-07-2005, 12:10 PM
Sorry, kids, I've been trying to get the camera from niece to take pics but been unsuccessful. She lent it to a friend (unbeknownst to me). I will take the lashes and transfer them upon her.

Every member is invited to my home to see him and give me the lashes...as long as you bring your digital cameras. (Hope you all take this as a joke.)

In the meantime, I will say that he is GORGEOUS! The quality stands out. I will keep and cherish him along with the exclusive Luke.

Again, my apologize for jumping the gun -- or lightsaber in this case.

07-07-2005, 12:16 PM
O.K no problem, were abouts, do you live then.?:whip

07-07-2005, 12:17 PM
How does the base loook? The belt? Need more discription!

07-07-2005, 12:17 PM
How do the hands look? That's the only thing that still bothers me on this piece.

07-07-2005, 12:34 PM
Road Trip

07-07-2005, 12:39 PM
I wonder if my has come, I am stuck at work. :thud

07-07-2005, 12:45 PM
The first thing I did was unclothe him (single woman tend to do this). I was surprised to see that his arms were "fused" (for lack of a better word) onto his body. They don't seem to be the exact hue as the body--just slightly off. This is unnoticeable unless he is undressed.

The base is perfect -- looks exactly like the Sideshow picture. He stands on it perfectly. You almost get the impression you're with him at Tatooine (So much for my private fantasy).

The belt & electrobinoculars and wrapped boots are incredible. The piece is professionally made and as promised, is of museum quality.

His hands do not look as awkward as in the Sideshow pictures. When you look at the overall statute, you do not notice the position of the hands.

Hopefully, someone else will receive their Luke and will get some pictures up soon for all to see....and I'll be off the hook.

One last note: He is excellently packaged. There should not be any problems with breakage of this statute.

07-07-2005, 12:45 PM
Go buy another digital camera...they are cheap these days.

Or use your camera phone. :)

LOL...j/k. Mine should be here soon enough.

07-07-2005, 01:04 PM
Hopefully mine will come today - are you in So CA, Zoom? :dunno

07-07-2005, 01:13 PM
Yes, I'm in So. Cal.

Sideshow sent me my invoice/tracking# yesterday with delivery date of today.

07-07-2005, 01:19 PM
I don't know when I'll get mine from FP, but I can't wait.:rock

8) Looking forward to seeing pics, and I hope you guys get yours soon. :D Mine will hopefully ship tomorrow.

Zoomaround, congrats on receiving your statue; what number did you get? And, what are the dimensions on his piece? Are they the same as listed on the SSC site? Thanks! :)

07-07-2005, 03:08 PM
Mini Rock,
My statute is #1295. I didn't think to measure it but just eyeballing it, it seems to be 17". I'm not at home so if someone hasn't beaten me to the punch, I'll post the measurements later tonight.

Thanks Zoomaround. Measurements would be great if you, or someone, could do them. I have an acylic case waiting for it, and I just want to be sure it will be big enough for the Luke. :)

07-07-2005, 06:37 PM
Mine will be here tomorrow. :banana I just got my notice, my first 1/4 scale, not to mention Star Wars.

07-07-2005, 07:10 PM

Luke is approx 18" tall (16.5" w/ 1.5" base). The base alone is 5 lbs and is 8.5" x 9.5"

The ectro-binocs are 1" x 2"

Mini Rock
07-07-2005, 07:22 PM
Awesome! Thanks for doing that. Looks like I'll be ordering a new acylic case though...BLAST!

07-07-2005, 11:51 PM
Can't wait to get this one. Hope it comes in soon.:rolleyes

07-08-2005, 12:56 AM
From those photos, the likeness doesn't look spot on, in the face.:\

Mini Rock
07-08-2005, 01:04 AM
Looks pretty damn close though. Not as spot on as the GG Luke minibust, but much better than the gawd aweful Attakus Luke IMO.

07-08-2005, 01:11 AM
True, that Attakus Luke, looks like a fisherprice toy. But for
$250. it should look a lot better then the GG Luke minibust.:\

Mini Rock
07-08-2005, 01:20 AM
I can agree with that, but GG's strength is in accurate likenesses, and I imagine the SS Luke overall is still an extremely impressive piece. :)

07-08-2005, 01:30 AM
I might be wrong but those arent the best pics in the world and we know flash takes alot out of piece even the person that took the pics say they dont do it justice. I'll save my judgement until I get mine but to me it looks pretty spot on.

07-08-2005, 01:37 AM
Yeah I need to do the same:p . We need better photos.

I wonder who'll be so lucky to get edition number #1977!!!!!

Pics pretty please my precious!!!!

07-08-2005, 02:13 AM
Now, that would be awesome to have that number.:p I don't think I have that kind of luck though.

07-08-2005, 02:35 AM
You're right Viking. Man I can't wait to get this! I don't care what number I get...I just want it. :D

07-08-2005, 04:08 AM
The reason GG's Luke bust is more accurate, is because they scan images of the actor, whereas SS's Luke is a sculpt. So it's likely to be slightly different than his actual face.

Regardless, they did an amazing job and I can't wait to get mine. Unfortunately, I'll be out of town when he arrives. :(

07-08-2005, 05:25 AM
Looks pretty damn good to me! :rock

07-08-2005, 08:18 AM
So GG scanned Mark Hamill 30 years ago? They borrowed Marty McFly's DeLorean or something?

Okay the pics are little rough, but the likeness looks pretty spot on. Hopefully I'll have mine soon.

07-08-2005, 08:43 AM
So GG scanned Mark Hamill 30 years ago? They borrowed Marty McFly's DeLorean or something?

I was getting ready to post the exact same thing. GG doesn't have the ability to use scanning for the sculpts from the old films.

The SS Luke sculpt looks almost perfect to me. Check out the pics where the flash doesn't drown out the detail such as this one:

The first picture is the one you guys should look it. No flash.

It looks the best too.

07-08-2005, 11:10 AM
Man I cant wait to get this!!! Come on ship the exclusive!!
