Dear Sideshowfreaks,
Forgive me for posting these questions here, but I think of getting the best advice on this forum.
I have bought the Arnie Terminator from Popsalute.(super headsculp!)
Where can I find a jacket like the one he wore in T2?
Where to find that rosewood winchester shotgun ?
Or leave him with the T3 look?
Thank you already.
Hasta la vista,
Jan:dance

hot toys just released a terminator 1 figure. he has a jacket that is almost exactly like the T2 jacket.....
or you could get the jacket off the harley ken from the barbie doll figures. it's a really nice jacket....
or you could get the jacket off the 21st century beech and crossroads biker figure.
as for the gun, 21st century toys makes a shotgun set that has this exact T2 shotgun.

I think the Hot toys biker jacket is the best.
Do you think it will fit ( the popsalute Arnie has a musculer body) - any chance finding one separately???

There's always a chance, but they've become rather much sought after alreday so be prepared to pay pretty high for it or just take the plunge and buy the whole figure.

okay I think I will have to take the plunge.
But do you think it will fit?

OK, i'll try to get some photos, but my camera ain't so good.
the hot toys clothing is really nice. i've seen just the pants, jacket and shirt selling for almost $40 on ebay. at those prices, you're better off buying the whole figure.

looking forward !
Really hope those photographs will succeed...

i'll try to get some photos later, but don't worry about the hot toys jacket fitting the pop salute body. the jacket should fit very well. it might be a little too big. the hot toys body is taller and bigger than the pop salute body.

Will by a hot toy figure complete.

the center figure is the pop salute body with the hot toys jacket. as you can see, it fits quite well.
the hot toys figure has the barbie jacket.
and the figure on the far left is the stock T3 figure.:peace

Dear Darth Kered,
Thank you for posting that Photograph.
Really appriciate it !
2 little questions:
To create the look of the middle figure:
-Have you also changed the trousers?
-From what figure have you taken the ungloved hands?
In all my collection I do not have a single custom one.
But for me the T2 look is defenately the right one.
SJIEK!
Happy greetings,
Jan ;-)

To create the look of the middle figure:
the pants are from the bbi figure colossus.
the hands are bbi G3 hands, but dragon hands would work.
the shirt is hasbro T2 turned around backwards.
as for the hands, to be screen accurate, while wearing the grey shirt, he has black gloves.....and while wearing the black shirt, he has no gloves.

what do you think of the hot toys one?
i really like him. the quality is excellent. the battle damage head looks a lot better in person than i expected. the weapons are super cool and the new hot toys body is a huge improvement over their old version. and like all hot toys figures, the clothes are just awesome.
i got the kyle reese figure as well. he too is top notch quality. i really hope hot toys does variations on these two figures.......they could re-release the T-800 with the green/grey army jacket and release reese in his trench-coat and black nike shoes.
got any extra pics?
my camera really dosen't do the hot toys figures justice. check out the OSW forum for a few reviews of the reese figure, and TK570 did a nice review of the T-800 with his custom head added.

Just ordered the Hot-toys and an extra Popsalute.
Am going to switch the jackets and leave the gloved hands.
Finding those colossus trousers is the next thing to do.
Also have ordered a Sideshow Dogget figure and the LAPD gear set. T1000 is going to hunt again.
Yes , I know, maybe a little too much T2.
But admit , it is a very good film.
Greetz,
Jan (whose bank-account is almost terminated)
These questions keep hunting through my little brains:
-Which 1/6 scale sunglasses for T2 look
-Why did you not use a black T-shirt and let him hold the shotgun... that would be my aim ;-)
Yes - bad to the bone -

Why did you not use a black T-shirt and let him hold the shotgun...
i was thinking i'd go for the look he had when he used the mini-gun......and the hot toys mini gun is perfect for this.
i don't know were you could get the proper sunglasses.

08-11-2005, 11:47 AM
Yes, with the mini-gun. -like that-
Shoot not to kill :-)
Do you also have the Aoshima Endoskeleton?
I think so...
Almost impossible to find that "Colossus" figure where I live :-(
-Rosebox Shotgun will be a quest for years :-(
Anyway- post a photograph with the mini-g please.

yea, two actually.:dance
one i've taken apart to try to do a T3 battle damaged custom.
Almost impossible to find that "Colossus" figure where I live
it took me a while too. this figure has the best "leather" pants i've seen. the material is really thin. check ebay on a regular basis, as this figure is out of production.
same with the shotgun set. they pop up on ebay every so often. the set also has a really cool sawed off double barrell shotgun just like mad max used.http://www.onesixthwarriors.com/photo/data/513/9terminator.jpg

Jeeeeeeezus!
You really did it! You killed a terminator :-)
Your "new-damaged" terminator looks perfect and fully posable.
But you will have to cut some leather to give him the right dress.
Yes , I think I am also a little "Terminator" - crazy and ordered the Endo...
Please keep posting those photographs!

okay will do,...
but also looking forward to photographs of your completed Battle-damaged Arnie.
Do you think the Hot-Toys version of their Endoskeleton is going as good as the one from Aoshima?
RichardW
08-11-2005, 02:14 PM
I hope the Hot Toys version has a shiny endoskeleton. The Aoshima doesn't look good to me since it's not shiny.

Has even a nice price - am asking the payment methods, as I live in Europe and do not have a credit card...-
-Are the colossus trousers wider than the Popsalute? (around the boots)?
-Why did you also switch his shirt?
Hope I can transform mine just like yours :rock

yea, and the material stretches a little.
Why did you also switch his shirt?
which shirt are you referring to?
Hope I can transform mine just like yours
it shouldn't be too difficult.......just expensive. i was adding up the costs.....the jacket comes from a $120 figure.....the body comes from a $150 figure.....the pants come from a $40 figure........:skull
it sure would be a lot easier if sideshow just made this figure.:rock
amarcord
08-12-2005, 08:28 AM
Yes Darth Kered,
You are right, it is expensive that way.
You may also add the shipping and bank-"service for the payment" -costs.
Knowing that there is the possibilty of making this figure perfect, makes one doing this.
I think SS will never release a T2 figure... :-(
I referred to the t-shirt your T2 version is wearing.
You told that is was from Hasbro.
Why did you not keep the Popsalute???
(or I can start searching for that shirt also)
greetz,
Jan

08-12-2005, 08:43 AM
oooh was too quick...
again another question:
-Are those Colossus trousers filmaccurate for T2?
Or do you just like them for being thinner?
darth kered
08-12-2005, 12:59 PM
i used the hasbro shirt because it has a lower neckline. the popsalute shirt has a high neck that almost looks like a turtleneck.
to the best of my knowledge, the T2 pants were just plain black leather pants. they didn't have the stitching on the mid-thigh area like in T3.
amarcord
08-12-2005, 02:20 PM
Conclusion : The only items used from the popsalute are the head, body and shoes (minus the hands).
It is hard being a perfectionist.
Yes, now I am also searching for another T-shirt and that famous unfindable shotgun...poor me :bonk
Are there zippers on the colussus trousers?
