ok i was weak and picked up the movie version of Jazz and Bumblebee today. are all the types(Deluxe, Leader, etc.) in the correct scale with each other even though they are labeled as different classes? they seem to be based off of optimus(leader class), what do you guys think?

That thing kinda looks like poop... the proportions don't look right (he's real blocky) and the paints all weird.

So is that a real picture... it has a bit of a concept drawing. or bad rendering feel to it.

It may get changed with enough complaints. The sculpt isn't bad. Just needs more smoothed out surfaces. More detail implemented, although the closed in shot of the head and the leg shows immense detail. Look at the tire tread and how nice it looks in the close up on the leg. If it can be improved and worked on in the appropriate areas this could be a good piece to pick up for 2,599 USD. Which begs the question, why is BBTS.com asking for an additional 1,400 USD for this piece? That is quite a big chunk of difference there.

i've seen starstream, pretty nice figure. i though p!tu posted a pic of him. haven't seen a megatron yet though..hopefully he'll be as big as prime...the $40 one. i was in target earlier and noticed some for like $7.99 that seem smaller than the $9.99(bumblebee, jazz, etc.) that say "target exclusive" so i'm assuming you can only get them there? if they are in the movie i can't see how that can be.

There is a ton of stuff at the Wal-Mart across the river but I've already picked up the ones I really wanted--- Optimus ($40 on the US side and probably going for $60+ on the Canadian--makes perfect sense when the money's almost on par), Bumblebee and Jazz.... The two Decepticons I want (for obvious reasons) Starscream and Megatron are still AWOL. Despite their radical physical change from G1 they're still on my want list. Well, hopefully the closer to the release date maybe I'll find them.

While the TRU I visited yesterday in my travels had Ratchet and the Decepticon Helo in plenty I finally today scored the movie Transformer that I was searching for--- ol' chicken legs himself STARSCREAM (and I snagged IRONHIDE cause P!TU's looked so cool).

That was at the Wal-Mart I visited--- but lo and behold in the Zellers next door (like a low-rent TARGET.... and I mean reeeeeeeeeeeeeeal low) I found the CLASSICS fig I had only seen once before and passed-- this time GRIMLOCK is mine!!! (and Bumblebee but just as I never got him and he's becoming more and more scarce).

Anyway--- good trip and I'll post pics upon my return...

The $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ frenzy is NOT over just like King Darkness as the second Hasbro SW Wave is arriving, the three Endor Troopers that I had on order finally arrive, the GG Slave Leia should be in next week, there's a GG Grievous coming----- I'm out of breath. Oh yeah, Street Clubber will be shipping soon...

I pity the fool.

Great pick-up! I've been fighting the urge to buy more of the movie transformers and G1 ones i happen to see...much like Grimlock...so far i stopped at Jazz, Bumblebee and Megatron....spending $40 on megatron and having Cap, Maul, and Bond shipping right now made me put a hault to it. i have to get StarScream though....oh who am i kidding i'll end up getting them all before it's all said and done.

Not overly happy with the Grimlock robot size but I think I'll keep him in T-rex mode---- and I refuse to use the skidoo that comes with Bumblebee... Ramjet is cool to be a deputy to Starscream and I was surprised how much I like Mirage (but maybe that's just cause I snagged him at 30% off)

looks like the actual megatron is too plain.

i kind of like the colors on the meg figure...could do without the pink but in person it doesn't stick out as "hey i'm pink, look at me". i may paint the pink dark red though.

not bad. I would suggest to paint some black on some areas like the elbow or knee, and some interior of the body. Looking at the original concept, Megatron is not all silver.

As reported here last week, the Cartoon Network will begin transmitting early next year the new “Transformers Animated” series. More details have emerged on the project – notably a diminished role for the dastardly Decepticons.

From Monday’s Hollywood Reporter:

Cartoon and Hasbro execs said the new series, "Transformers Animated," will be significantly different than the others, adding humor, never-before-seen characters and a new premise in which the Autobots fight evil humans in Superhero fashion much more frequently than they battle the Decepticons -- the traditional "Transformers" lore since the property launched as a toy in 1984.

"We've used the basic Transformers and characters as a springboard, but then we're pretty much reimagining the whole thing," said Bob Higgins, senior vp programming and development at Cartoon Network. "What we're doing with it is basically turning it into a superheroes story. We're really excited that we're able to take this decades-old property and hopefully turn it into something that kids haven't seen or expected from a Transformers
