I like your new banner FF. :)

08-04-2005, 12:47 PM
Frankenfan, you are the banner king! And that is one meaningful banner!!!!!:toast

08-04-2005, 01:18 PM
i love that banner too! all we need now is for sideshow to make him!
i WILL get this DVD set.

08-04-2005, 02:44 PM
Thanks, TVdude; I knew it would resonate with you!

And BDboystoys, since the illustrious Hulkfan, a.k.a Sideshow sculptor supreme, Andy Bergholtz, posted his approval, that means he's busy at work sculpting the G-Man even as I type this!!!

08-04-2005, 03:01 PM
Nice.... banner, FrankenFan. :dance

08-04-2005, 03:10 PM
Anybody want to buy a complete set of Buffy DVDs? Andy - you need a set don't you?

08-04-2005, 03:21 PM
Yeah, that really cheeses me off since I bought all the dvd sets initially. :thwak I may just have to pass, I checked eBay and there are thousands (well, not quite THOUSANDS) of Buffy dvd sets for sale, so doubt I'd get much for them. It would probably be more of a headache trying to auction them than just saying "no" to the new 'deluxe' set. I'd like to have the book that's supposed to be coming with the new set, though. Maybe that will sell separately... :dunno

08-04-2005, 05:07 PM
Pay it forward, Migwit!

08-04-2005, 05:22 PM
Well if they do the same with Angel, you guys can sell me your current Angel box sets. :clap

08-04-2005, 06:41 PM
Frankenfan, :lol :lol :lol

I sound grumpy about it, don't I? I shouldn't complain, it's not like I would have never bought the Buffy dvds when they first came out, even if someone had said "Hold out, in a few years there will be a big super-duper deeee-luxe version!" I mean, I couldn't have waited, I watch Buffy and Angel dvds, like, almost every day!

(I reeeeally would like to have that book, though!!) :lol :dance

08-04-2005, 10:42 PM
THANKS for the news Frankenfan!!:bow :bow
giles will be mine...

08-05-2005, 04:25 AM

Sorry to mislead you but, I was speaking (writing) facetiously when I said (wrote) that Giles was in production.

But as Sideshow Brant is found of saying (and writing), nothing is impossible and, never say never!

08-05-2005, 03:18 PM
well i have good faith in sideshow and Im sure they making it right now!:dance

08-05-2005, 03:22 PM
That's the spirit, BDbt!

08-05-2005, 10:12 PM
:p sidehsow should some ideas for there next figures from you frankenfan! you make some awesome banners!

08-08-2005, 12:02 PM
If they make "Bargaining Buffy" her eyes should be rollie-aroundie like in the picture. :lol :skull

08-08-2005, 12:42 PM
Suncoast is buying used DVDs and I took in all my Buffy. They only gave $13 per season though. You can probably get more for your sets on ebay. :rolleyes

And now I'm Buffi-less until November.:(

08-09-2005, 10:07 AM
Don't know how to break this to you, Dave, but... um... the LE box set? It was... um... just an internet rumor...

08-09-2005, 11:18 AM
Thanks FF, Thanks a whole heap. Luckily I ordered it from Amazon before turning in my sets... :rolleyes

08-09-2005, 11:28 AM
Is this up for pre order yet?

08-09-2005, 11:43 AM

I'm being 1000% serious now: If you ordered this set (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0006IO778/qid=1123615830/sr=1-8/ref=sr_1_8/102-7385794-0456153?v=glance&s=dvd) from Amazon, it's not the LE box!!!

Unless I'm missing it —*and I've been checking for it daily — Amazon has not listed it yet! If I have missed it, I'd appreciate a link!

Much grass, Dave!

Lazy, silly me, I was just typing "Buffy" in the search field, which brought up every DVD Set but the LE box. :bang2

08-09-2005, 12:44 PM
I'm happy they are doing this, it makes collecting the entire series easier for me. I've only bought the $5 episodes 1 & 2 starter set and it has piqued my interest in watching the whole series chronologically. I'd prefer to rent them but my local Blockbuster doesn't cary any of them. :(

Hey! New emoticons!

08-09-2005, 03:19 PM
Oh yay!! This is great news. I've been stealing my friend's DVDs when she's not looking to get my Buffy fix. This is a GREAT deal for $140. I will definitely be ordering. Is it November yet??

08-09-2005, 07:33 PM
I couldn't find it either... Thanks for the link Dave!!:bliss

Yep, thanks for the link...I can't believe it doesn't come up on amazon when you just search for "buffy" on DVD:dunno

But, I have got mine ordered...I wonder how many sets they are making??? It seems like it will be fairly popular...

08-10-2005, 08:22 AM
It does come up on Amazon if you search for "Buffy" in the DVD section. But it's at the end of the list - after Buffy St. Marie and In the Buffy, etc....

08-16-2005, 09:55 AM
Any of you got a good line on the complete Angel Set? All five seasons? I want em all at once.

Just as soon as they announce a complete Angel box I'll sell you my individual seasons....

But I'm watching them (again) right now. Selling all my Buffy and realizing I wouldn't have them until November again bummed me out so I have to watch Angel to cheer up.

What about the extra DOCUMENTARY DVD???? I know that is the region 2 version there Frank, and it obviously didn't have this DVD...So, maybe the info. on the region 1 will be different.:dunno Hope so....:rolleyes

I hope the box design is a LOT better too...

08-16-2005, 02:50 PM
I like that box and I especially like the idea of it not taking up as much room on the shelf.

But 10,000 that's not limited! I'm going to cancel, I don't want something that just anybody can buy!:poke

Preach it!!! That right when it comes to DVD's if it aint less than 10,000 it aint right.
Joking aside I wish they would of made it widescreen.

08-16-2005, 03:19 PM
I prefer the widescreen too, but Joss himself has said that they composed Buffy for 4:3 throughout the series (OMWF being the exception). So if the Joss says it, I can accept it.

I like the box idea...god knows I could use some extra space...I mean with over 700 DVDs and all, I am running out of space!! But, I want the artwork on the box to be something more eye-catching...than just a couple of patterns..
