:bang Which would you have your figures ,sealed or open?
I sometimes have mine sealed because either I like the art on the box or package or when I open them, they sometimes have a hard time standing on there own and they come with little accessories that end up gettig lost. what do u think?

Opened all the way! IMO, there is no point in buying the stuff if you don't open it. You just might as well have a picture of it instead. Toys are made to be opened. If you like the artwork on the boxes, keep 'em. Thats what I do: open them and keep the boxes.

I vote for open it!

The anticipation of opening the box...
To hold the statute/figure in your hands
To admiring the craftsmanship
To figure out the best way to display (which always leads to buying companion pieces)

Although I do have to say that I do have one unopened figure, The ComicCon Hellboy. Eventually, I will open the box and display him but I haven't figured out where and how to display him.

what if

But what if you have a hard time keeping them standing up or lossing the accessories

I am definitely an opener. I might have an occasional limited, special or duplicate figure here or there that is not opened, but that is definitely the exception and not the norm.

Yeah,...what's the point in buying it, if you don't open it??:doh ... these pieces are for show, baby!:rock

Agree, they're for show! (And "show off!" :lol ) I open mine, and then keep the boxes anyway. If there are accessories that I am not putting out right now, they also stay in the box.

Gotta let 'em OUT! :lol :banana

Put the accessories not being used in a bag if your afraid to lose them. If they don't stand up, use the stands they come with. That is the only time I use them. They just don't display as well with the stand, unless it is a themed stand like the grass/mud or dugneon bases. If they don't have stands, buy them.

Oz has been added to the Buffy display. I have the Con exclusives, other Jasons, X-Files, some Universal Monsters and vampire/werewolf versions of Buffy characters in the box still though, mostly cause I'm running out of space.

Release them from their cardboard cages. If you have problems with them standing, as they sometimes are prone to, use the old super glue in the joint. Don't allow it to harden in situ. Keep moving the joint until it does harden and you will find that the friction needed to move the joint is enough to keep it in the desired pose. Depending on the pose, I sometimes find that rotating the limb below the cut joint, at a 90 degree angle, gives it enough stability without resorting to super glue at all.

Definitely open them! I enjoy fiddling with them and reposing them. I usually keep some of the accessories out but some of the figures have the same stuff so anything duplicate or I'm not using is put in a safe place. And I keep all the boxes too. Glad to see that so many others open theirs as well.

Excellent Buffy display FFF - wish I had the room to display them all like that!

And every time I see that Xander it reminds I don't have mine yet! What's up with that?

I open most of them. I only keep the rarest Dragon, BBI, and Medicom figures boxed. I open all of my Sideshow stuff.

Very nice display! That is what these figures are made for: Displaying. The figures just look so stiff and lifeless in the boxes. :| They are only brought to life through great displays like the one above.

On another note, it seems we all are going to end up with the same avatar pretty soon. :mwaha

Damn, nice display. I'm going to have to kick the basement renovations into high gear so I can free my Buffy figures from their cardboard prisons and put them in my display.

Thanks everyone! I can't imagine leaving them in their boxes. They are just too much fun to rearrange and pose in different ways.

And I'm just as puzzled as to how I already got Xander. I ordered the Exclusive from Sideshow and the regular one from Time & Space toys (joined their Buffy Collector's club) and he arrived last week much to my surprise. I haven't heard about anyone else getting him yet either.

I will be an opener once I find a dust free place to
display them.
I hate dusting and I have dogs so I can image how
bad it would be just after a few days.

I do want to play with my toys but will wait a while
longer.

Lol!!

Don't worry I will release them soon.
But I need to have a safe place for them.
Doggies love to chew my toys.
