Wait 'til you guys see the George Lucas bit at the Star Wars Convention. Let's just say that it's painfully obvious that the ROBOT CHICKEN guys have been to a SW convention before. And you'll never look at Tauntauns the same way again. :lol

I just can't get over the fact that Breckin Meyer is the voice of Palpatine in that skit:

I never would have guessed. Though it does make sense after meeting him at C4. He's a funny as hell dude.
(He also does the voice of Boba Fett in tomorrow's special and is a ROBOT CHICKEN regular).

"What the hell is an Aluminum Falcon?"
Also love this one:
"You got an ATM on that torso Lite Brite? Now get your 7'2" asmthatic ass back here, or I'm gonna tell everyone what a whiney ***** you were about Padamame or Panda Bear or whatever the hell her name is! Oh jeez.. he's crying!"

Definitely looking forward to the show Sunday night. Seth Green showed a clip on Conan the other night of Jar Jar reuniting with his old friend Anakin except he was now Darth Vader and in the suit. They even got Ahmed Best to reprise his role as Jar Jar's voice and it was absolutely hillarious. :lol

You can tell that those guys love Star Wars and they really did an awesome job with this show. I pretty much laughed non-stop from start to finish. Everything with the Emperor was gold and the Jar Jar/Vader reunion was priceless. Lucas at the convention was hillarious as well. Good to see he has a sense of humor after all and allowed SW to get spoofed better than it ever has been before. :chew

I've always liked Robot Chicken for the animation and all the cool toys they threw in, but I never found their jokes very funny or contagious - until the Star Wars special. It was definitely their best episode both in humor and technique. Walrus Man rocked, the Boba Fettish scene was great, and the Jar Jar skit was Jar Jar's best performance ever. And technically, the animation, sets, and lighting were fantastic. Getting George to make an appearance was icing on the cake. Well done.

As much as this was great, now that it has passed, my anticipation for the Family Guy special is even higher, that's going to be the best hour of Star Wars related television ever. As for RB, I'm curious what they made their Chewbacca with, it seems their figures are 1/6 scale, so I wonder because it could be an opening for a way some 1/6 maker could do a good looking Chewbacca.

I think their figures are much bigger than 1:6, if you saw the interviews in b/t with Matt Senreich, they are in the background and look pretty big.

Nope. They had the Luke, Vader and Palpy from the ROTJ Throne Room scene (including the environment itself) on display at C4 and they were most definitely SMALLER than 1:6. I distinctly remember being surprised at how much smaller they were than I imagined they'd be.
Some, however, are in 1:6 scale... but those particular ones appeared to be more ike 1:7 or even 1:8.

Great special. I had actually forgotten it was on until last night. Glad I didn't miss it.
Walrusman was by far my favorite... too funny how they completely changed around the scene :rotfl :rotfl
I also liked the guy having to continually sweep up the falling dead! And what I think was really impressive overall is they worked in some pretty specific jokes, like the Power Converters... I got it right away but I had to explain that one to my fiance.

This show did bring one thing to my attention. I had not noticed before but, just like a limb is cut off in almost all 6 movies, some one seems to fall down a shaft,a window or a shaft is featured in all 6 movies.
ANH-Strom trooper shot by Luke and Leia falls, Obi Wan turns off tractor beam in shaft.
ESB- Luke almost falls down shaft then eventually jumps off in cloud city
ROTJ-Emperor thrown over the shaft
TPM-Kenobi almost falls down shaft, then maul goes down shaft
AOTC- Kenobi jumps out of window, Kenobi falls off side of Platform in Jango fight
ROTS-Mace thrown out of window.
Did I forget any?

They primarily use Mego sized figures which are 8" tall. To me that's the worst part of the show, I never liked the way Megos looked especially the ones RC makes that have "skin" instead of exposed joints, they look absolutely hideous. :yuck
BTW, the show evolved out of Twisted Toy Fair Theater that also used Megos, which is probably why they use them on the show:

I was very surprised at how big they looked in the background, I would have sworn they were 1/6 too if not having seen the set at CIV.
The janitor cleaning up was the highlight for me. He should have found Luke's lightsaber too though.
