I didn't know that this Conquest version was even possible! Hope it's the true original version of the film and not some manufactured special edition like I'm told Fox did to Alien 3. It will be interesting to see how this verion was "restored".

Strange... there is no word on whether the Blu-Ray version of Battle is the longer version that was released on DVD recently.

SNICK - You can buy a whole package of those little brass nails for about 89 cents at Walmart. Do I really need to to mail you some? Please remember to drill a pilot hole into the wheel before you hammer a brass nail into the tire.

I think I'll just apoxy it. How many glyphs do you need?

What did they do to Alien 3 Proto? I think CONQUEST will have the bloody sequences that were cut from the film. (That's what I'm hoping for!) Did you ever see the cards made by Inkworks? They had a couple of the bloody CONQUEST pictures on the collectors cards.

The pictures on each of the discs don't look the actors who portrayed our beloved apes in the movies! They look like ordinary people that were made up. Maybe I'm wrong, those pictures aren't very big.

Protozaius

What did they do to Alien 3 Proto?

Here's what Amazon said about the Alien 3 DVD:

This isn't a "director's cut"--David Fincher refused to have any involvement with this release--but a 1991 work-print that runs 29 minutes longer than the theatrical version, and has now been restored, remastered, and finished off with (unfortunately) cheap new CGI.

The fan reaction to this re-edit has been mixed... with some fans criticizing Fox for cheaping the overall film in the effort of merely presenting the longest possible cut of the film and thus sell more DVDs. Also, when Superman the Movie was first shown on TV they boasted nearly an hour worth of cut footage. But this destroyed the film pacing by adding film that was never meant to be seen by the director.

So I just don't want a few bloody scenes re-inserted just to sell more DVDs... for it to be some aproximation of what the film was supposed to be. I want the film to be the film J Lee Thompson showed at a preview in Phoenix back in 1972... the one without the cumbersome editing of the "happy" ending, with blown up close up shots of Caesar's eyes with dubbed dialogue and Lisa's whimpering "No" line. I want it to present, fully, the film's true violent thrust.

Was there any part of Caesar's original speech cut from the final cut? Does it still exist and will in be re-serted? Have all of the film's trimmings (both bloody and non-bloody) been accounted for? Do they have some sort of editiorial map as to where these shots are supposed to be inserted to maintain the late Thompson's vision? These questions are the ones I want answered... just to clarify what we are getting in this DVD set.

Was there a NATO reel made for all of the Apes films?

Jess - Here are the square "Barney Rubble" feet of a typical Sideshow figure that I converted to the more realistic feet like that of Prisoner Taylor. I'm still painting them as you can see... but my 2 mute humans (Sideshow Bridgekeeper) now have better feet.

I've asked this of others more knowledgeable, and it seems to be the general consensus that POTA and Beneath were the only films with NATO presentations. Beneath can be downloaded somewhere, I forget where, but its awesome, with unused footage & alternate takes, I like it better than Planet's, a real gem. I'll try to find the address so you can download it.

I don't post very often but I'm selling some of the figures I have. I wanted to give this board a chance before I put them on ebay.

I also have an Urko head from someone on this board, I believe it was Ironman. Also a few Gorilla head from "frontline" of the first gorilla seen on film in the first movie and a Dragon 1/6 WWII saddle that would work great for a Gorilla saddle. The figures do not have the original boxes. Please email me if interested at futura55@msn.com

You can check my feedback on ebay to show that I am trustworthy and won't rip you off as I'm not one of the regular posters her.

Thanks and sorry for the intrusion, Andy

I agree wholeheartedly with you Proto. However, J. Lee Thompson himself said CONQUEST had to be edited and that a great deal of the violence & gore was removed in order to get the PG-13 rating. They wouldn't “pass” it the way he originally wanted it. I'd really like to see the R-rated (or un-rated version).

Fellow Ape freaks,

Just bought a prisoner taylor on Ebay for $45. I guess you can get deals on EBAY if you looked. The last beared Taylor I bought cost me $200 so I guess it just all even out.

I am thinking of taking these out and displaying these figures but they are just too damn nice. What do you think ? Cheers YMBA

YMBA--why don't you sell one of your bearded Taylors and recoup the money on Evilbay. I didn't realize you could find great deals. Good for you!!

I also like to play with my figures. I don't like them boxed although some people like them that way. The ones I have boxed is because they're way up high in the closet and I'm too lazy to bring them down...they're just a couple of Ursus and a Dr. Zaius...but I have them lose already, so it will be an extra effort for me to take them down.

Angel, I have way too many unfinished projects. I keep adding and never finishing. I will work on your Cornelius suit and not work on anything else until it is done. Last night I spent several hours brushing up the Mego-sized ANSA outfits that I will send out on Monday. I finished up all of the embroidery and added all the snaps to the three outfits. Each top has a set of six snaps, and I made three complete outfits...that's 21 snaps in one session....gahhhhhhh!!!!

I was looking at the coat rack on the piano last night. I still have to sand down the rough areas..but it will get there someday. My little ape market will be so cute when done...but it's so highly detailed that the task is daunting. I'm going to spend 20 minutes picking up the dining area...and then I have to go drop off a check to pay for piano lessons. When I get back, it's going to only be all about Cornelius...

Jessica

I was watching UFO and fell asleep while watching it. I guess all the excitement and not being able to sleep for the last couple of nights have really wore me out. I'm so totally stoked about my makeup. I want to tell the whole world, and then again, I don't in case I jinx it. Is this really true? Am I dreaming? Dan said that if I can handle the claustrophobia of when they make a mold of my face, which he thinks will be an hour or so...then I can handle the claustrophic qualities of the makeup. I am so ready.

I'm not sure if I will be able to rip the makeup off my face as Roddy did. That might hurt! I think the glues they use now are much less harsh, but I'll see how it goes. I've got very long hair so before they make a mold of my face, they're going to make me wear a bald cap. OMG OMG OMG!!

The Lawgiver Mego-sized is on a shelf, awaiting a makeover. I still haven't purchased that tool that I need to fix it...because Apemania SUCKED my wallet dry...The hydrospanning of the Great Ape figure came to mind at the Mego Museum but the idea was shot down by one of the "experts" there...So I decided to just sculpt one. I need the practice anyway.

Can you tell I'm stalling? I should be sewing, but I'm stalling...

I worked on Cornelius's suit on and off for awhile with lots of surfing inbetween. I have both sleeves sewn on (with the added seam, so both sleeves have two seams each like a real suit!!)...and for the most part, the check pattern still matches!! I will need to trim down the collar and slim the suit a little...it's 50% done, not counting the lining that I want to add. Yay me!!

Here's the status of the jacket. I have to slim down the sleeves to match the rest of the jacket and it's just pinned in place...After I slimmed the body down of the jacket, the width of the sleeves no longer looked appropriate . I also opened up the lapel too much for the photograph but it's getting there. My camera sucks.

Ironman, I'm really sorry to hear about Ada. That's such a sour deal and more salt in the wounds. If you purchase the Bill Murray head, which looks really killer, make sure you get her to send you Sawyer and Milla. I got the Burke sculpt you sent me. It's perfect for a 9" body, too large for a Mego...but not impossible to work with. I don't know what to do with it yet, but I will make it work. The better Burke is certainly good news.
No, I'm holding off on any other heads until this is resolved. I went back and counted, I have 27 of her heads and 12-15 more that I'm contemplating. I was quite surprised to hear from her twice more last night in more lengthy mails than I am used to. I have to slim down the sleeves to match the rest of the jacket and it's just pinned in place...After I slimmed the body down of the jacket, the width of the sleeves no longer looked appropriate . I also opened up the lapel too much for the photograph but it's getting there. My camera sucks.

Ironman, that totally sucks with Ada. If she does not provide good customer service for you, and you totally have a ton of sculpts you purchased from her, then she will lose out on the 15 you are contemplating. Good luck. It's really very difficult to deal with her, and that is such a shame.

I am curious what is on everyones top 3 wish list of sculpts? Armando was #1. Now my list is-

1. Dr. Hasslein
2. MacDonald (I'm going to take Kfog's Col Tigh suggestion, though)
3. Landon

Although he was high on the list, I'm staying out of this Burke mess, and I don't care for sculpted hair on the apes, that's why no apes, so that's my list. What's on everyone elses?

That's a good question Hasslein! I'm curious to see what's on everybody's mind as well. Considering I already have a Mr. McDonald and a Landon figure (that I'm very pleased with), I think the only humans I'd like to have is Kolp.

The top 3 apes sculpts on my list are Dr. Maximus, Honorious, and Julius. I'm not even concerned about hiring someone to do these 3 ape sculpts. I'm going to try my hand at making each of them eventually with a lump of clay. The real question here should be... do I use a big lump to make a bobblehead, or a little lump, and just try and save on clay? :rotfl

I have a head from the Formative International SOTW line of figures that I bought solely because of its resemblence to Eric Braeden. I'll try and dig him out and post a pic or two. I assume that they used that likeness because they did primarily military figures and He was in Rat Patrol back when he went by the name Hans Gudegast.

From your perspective Ironman, I certainly understand what you're saying. You're a very BIG collector of everything. I'm not. The apes alone are just draining my wallet, so I choose to buy only what I truly love! Perhaps I should have said, I choose to buy only what I can truly afford?

If I had the money (and the space) the only other figures I think I would buy (or make) would be from Aliens, Lord of the Rings, X-Files, Terminator, and Mad Max.

Could you imagine how much more (financially) that would set me back? My ape projects would simply have to stop from a lack of funding. :(

That's why I don't bother collecting other figures. My 1st love will always be the apes. :)

Have any of you guys ever seen 1/6-scale director chairs for sale? If not, I'm considering putting them on "wish list".

Well, I had some lengthy email conversations yesterday morning with Ada. We seemed to straighten everything out and she said she would send the refixed heads to me. I went to work and when I came home late last night I got this:
I just notice that some of my clients told me you said a lot of netgative things about me all the time in the forum, why you do that? If I do not get any sales, you are happy? If my sales keep decreasing, I will not sculpt these kind of head anymore as there will be no more fun to me.
Why you have to do things have no good to yourself but also hurting other people? You are a very bad person and you will be off my mailing list as you do not respect me, do not respect my work and even say a lot of bad stuff about me in the forum all the time. That's a shame of you.
Apparently I'm taking a risk even posting this. I told her I never said anything in a forum that I hadn't said to her and that she shouldn't believe everything she hears. Hopefully I'll still be getting the heads that are due me.

I didn't get that e-mail, Angel. I can only surmise that she will no longer be running a poll and creating a sculpt of the celebrity with the most votes....or perhaps when many people ask her to make one sculpt she does it for fun without charging a commission fee, hoping to recoup costs from the sale of the casts.

What happened with Ada? Did I miss something? Is she no longer doing celebrity sculpts?

She said she will not be doing any uncommissioned celebrity sculpts? What does that mean? What is a uncommissioned celebrity sculpt

She was making sculpts on her own, say of Chuck Connors, and selling them. No one commissioned it she just sculpted it and then sold them. She won't do that any more. From now on a sculpt must be commissioned before she will make it.

KFOG/JESS - The positive energy must of worked. My sculptor and I sawed Burke in half. The head, compared to Brent, is too skinny. Thus, giving him the "pinhead" look. My Mother is a sculpter of doll heads (porcelain) and I once asked her if She could ever do a smaller scale. She was not familiar with resin and whatever else We use in 1/6th scale. She is still going through Chemo for the next 8 days between Monday and Friday, but says thats She is doing fine. I think that once She is out of the woods, I may ask Her again about 1/6th scale sculpts. She does have a very good eye for detail because She made two sculpts of my Sisters just by looking at their baby pictures and they turned out great!

Ha, Ha! She would laugh about that, because I have had her make more than my share of 1/6th scale Uniforms. She has made me Leather Pioneer (Mountainman) Uniforms, Santa Anna Soldier Uniforms, Spainiard Uniforms from the Spanish American War and so on. She is the queen of the sewing circle as far as 1/6th scale and larger goes. She is left handed and they say that people with an artistic gift usually are left handed. I do not know if that is true, so maybe we can have some left handers chime in!:gun

Our daycare is closed for business until the last week of August, and this day was one of my days off. Yesterday we went to Felton (88 miles away one way) to catch a train ride to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It was gorgeous. I have not been there for 30 years and it is even better now than I remembered.

Today I was ready to take the kids out to the movies again or go for a swim but the toddler was sick so he took a nap for most of the afternoon...and I've been unable to sleep for the past few nights from excitement over my makeup so I took advantage of the situation and fell asleep too.

Angel I thought you finished your Armando's paint. What you posted a few weeks/days back was just work in progress? I thought that it was done!!

I would love to see everyone else's work as well. Even if it's not a custom of what you are working on...how about posing your figures for some new photos? I remember how inspiring it was for me to see PZ's photos of the upgraded Cornelius and Dr. Zaius...still giggle about the simian choir.

I haven’t been motivated too much either Jessica. You’re not alone. I need inspiration and positive comments from people when I post things. That really seems to fuel my projects. Jungle Jom was always tremendous when it came to motivating me with his ideas, his kind words, and of course, his encouragement.

I’m simply unable to motivate myself now days. The past few months have actually proved that to me.

I haven’t even been able to muster up the "oomph", to paint my Armando sculpt, The President of the Assembly sculpt, Lawgiver sculpt and The Fat Man mutant mask. They’ve all been sitting here an eternity already! I need a serious kick in the shorts and I need it badly.

I know that I’d get motivated if the others (Kfog, Jungle Jom, enaud, and Ironman) were making things and sharing them with us. That would inspire me in the same way that new people on this thread inspire all of us. When the other guys here start posting their projects, I’ll certainly get motivated. Maybe someone here will do something that really energizes me. My tank is bone dry and I really need to be refueled.

Angel, How are the wagons coming along?

Did you see that sticky thread about the kiss and tell contest? That sounds like a fun thing to try to enter...

Hi All! What's up in Central City? I was checking out Monkey Depot and thought that these Mannequins were pretty cool. They would be good to pose hats and outfits on. I think that the sculpts are 1/6th scale also.

Jessica
08-09-2008, 02:39 PM
Kfog, I think they would be cool to also add/sculpt some clothing onto those and make additional busts for the mutants....maybe???

Jessica
08-09-2008, 02:51 PM
Angel, did you send photos to the contest? I did, but I don't have any high hopes to win..you guys know my camera sucks. I took about 50 photos, and only picked one. If you sent a photo, can you e-mail it to me? I would love to see it.

Tonight's the deadline of the contest.

Yes, I entered the "kiss and tell" contest Jessica. I didn't put any effort into it though. I took the pictures long ago, so it was just a matter of pulling them out of my photo archive.

I just spent the last 30 minutes working on the Caesar statue again. He looks soooo good! I’m going to be very proud of him once he’s completed.:angelsmil

Kfog, I think they would be cool to also add/sculpt some clothing onto those and make additional busts for the mutants....maybe???

That would work, but for me, I think it would be much easier to just change the face and modify the one I already have. I'd love to see someone else do this though!

I was trying to remember how yours looked...I know that it was exactly the way I would want it to be, especially around the bottom part of the statue, and I was trying to figure out how somebody would re-create that.

I can't wait for the unveiling of Caesar! Please don't make him so expensive that I can't afford him, 'K??? :banana:banana:banana

Are you signing up for one already? Even without even seeing it? Thanks for the vote of confidence! :)

Of course! But only if my chump change can afford it! Remember, I still have to scrape funds for my makeup.

Jessica
08-09-2008, 03:25 PM
You guys think it's crazy if I buy a pair of black leather boots with the toe dents from Apemania for $350? I wonder if they make size 5.5??

Or should I just buy a pair of leather Dr. Zaius hieroglyph gloves for $150? I'm not sure if those would fit me well though, because I've got tiny hands.

angelofmusic2112
08-09-2008, 03:34 PM

Chump change? You should have called in Chimp change.

:rotfl I should remember that!!

Jessica
08-09-2008, 03:39 PM
I have $300 to spend at Apemania that I can't get back. I would wear the boots to work with whatever else I'm wearing. I just need to add $50 and maybe some more chimp change for shipping/handling. Those would be the most expensive shoes I would ever own.

angelofmusic2112
08-09-2008, 03:49 PM
I would think that the gorilla boots would be more comfortable than the chimp shoes and that you'd probably be tripping over the "inner toes" of the chimp shoes.

I read somewhere that it took Roddy and Kim quite a while to get used to the chimp shoes.

If you wore a dress like Zira, the gorilla boots would not be seen that much. In your case, I'd say go for comfort. Do they really make them that small?

angelofmusic2112
08-09-2008, 03:52 PM
I would wear the boots to work with whatever else I'm wearing.

I just caught this... :lol

Jessica
08-09-2008, 04:11 PM
I hope they make them that small. Most nice boots start at 6 or 6.5, and that SUCKS!! Let's just say that if I could fit the boots, I would buy them. I have 18 or so pairs the last time I tried to count them.

kfog41
08-09-2008, 06:45 PM
Jess, Couldn't you just modify regular shoes to look like Chimp shoes? That would be much cheaper and Who really looks down at the shoes?:horror

Jessica
08-09-2008, 06:52 PM
I just had a great conversation with another ape friend, and he says he knows of a cheap way to get gorilla boots made. He is looking for the link for me. I just wonder if the riding shoes he is talking about comes in my size. That's what SUCKS. I can't find nice boots that fit me.

Jessica
08-09-2008, 06:53 PM
My friend will also help me make the chimp boots...but I think I can MacGuyver them because I have held Bill Blake's chimp shoe in my very own hands and saw its construction.

These gorilla boots would be what I would wear around the office..you know...for kicking serious ***.

Jessica
08-09-2008, 07:41 PM

I have a slew of ape heads that I'll be boxing up for Mastermind tomorrow. He didn't want them painted! Whew! That makes me very happy! I love it!

Jessica
08-09-2008, 10:37 PM
The contest ends tomorrow, Angel. You still have time! If I had a Taylor, I would have tried it...don't think it would look right if Zira is kissing Robert Patrick...

Jessica
08-09-2008, 10:40 PM
I'm not physically working on anything. I'm psyching myself into cutting out a new left facing and re-doing the collar of Cornelius's suit. I'll do that tomorrow. I've thought about it enough, so tomorrow I'll fix that and maybe make the pants.

Oh...I would love to see Mastermind's army! He needs to outfit half of the soldiers with Snick's backpack!!!

Jess - it just dawned on me. I forgot to send you wagon pix from the the first two movies. Do you still want them?

I haven't forgot the small POTA iron-ons you wanted.

I would still love the wagon pix. I haven't started that project yet. Enaud was going to send me some wood that he will pre-cut for me (he's got access to the right tools)...I've got so much to do that I am never in any rush to get it done, but I do want to commit to finishing at least one project through...and that's your suit.

ANG - The ripped pants turned out really well. I'm not sure if I'm going to go with that version of Taylor or Brent in the back of the wagon. I need to post some wagon pix. I have half of it painted.

The Caesar sculpt is sounding awesome. I can't wait.

JESS - Did you ever think about sewing Caesar's leather outfit from Conquest?

08-11-2008, 05:01 AM
My Mother is a sculpter of doll heads (porcelain) and I once asked her if She could ever do a smaller scale. She was not familiar with resin and whatever else We use in 1/6th scale. She is still going through Chemo for the next 8 days between Monday and Friday, but says thats She is doing fine. I think that once She is out of the woods, I may ask Her again about 1/6th scale sculpts. She does have a very good eye for detail because She made two sculpts of my Sisters just by looking at their baby pictures and they turned out great!

KFOG - Glad to hear your mother is doing better. Your mom is a sculptor? You have to get her to do a ape head.

Ironman1188
08-11-2008, 09:42 AM
Sorry Ironman. Curiosity can be a good thing. It can also make things more exciting for some folks! Pretend it's a very limited edition of 5 statues from Sideshow.

She's using all her time making things for others, and none for herself! At least that's how it seems to me. I've been wrong before...

Where does the line start for this little gem???

ANG - I think we would be pushing Jess to the limit. I'll bring it up again after some of her projects get cleared up. BTW, dirtying up the humans and rags is a great way to go.

Second time is going to be the charm for the spaceship. The cardboard template shows the angles the ship needs to be. We are also extending it so we'll have 2 chairs shown. If this goes well the cryo chambers won't be far behind.

Jessica
08-11-2008, 10:12 AM
Snick, I can make the leather jacket for Caesar from Conquest. That would be a fun thing to do. Anybody who's sewn these outfits for 1/1 scale knows they are really complex, and when you make them for 1/6 the size adds another notch to the difficulty scale. The Sideshow ape suits (except for the colors) are thankfully movie-accurate, so they make a good base to work off of.

Angel is right...I have been so busy chasing other sewing projects that I have not been able to do anything personal. But that does not mean I am not having fun. Sewing these things are really fun for me, believe it or not. I hope my workmanship shows that. (I really love to sew these outfits, except, no more Mego scale ANSA suits--I AM SO DONE WITH THOSE.)

Jessica
08-11-2008, 10:15 AM
Angel, I sewed down the lining of C's jacket. It makes his suit look great. I need to add pockets, add buttons and snaps (where do you get 1/6 scale buttons--do you make them yourself with clay??? or should I use glass seed beads?)

Then I need to work on his pants....and I can send the suit to Angel. Yay me!

Jessica
08-11-2008, 10:16 AM
Then while the project is still fresh in my mind, I'm going to bang out the same suit for Snick and me...I am running out of material due to trying to match the checks...but I have a pair of pants that I found at Goodwill that has the same check pattern, so we're good.

Jessica

Jessica
08-11-2008, 10:31 AM
These are aweful pictures... I know. Here's a pic of Zaius wearing Sinatras hat.

This is such a funny picture, Angel. You just need to put on glasses on him, set him under a 1/6 umbrella and photograph him on a director's chair.

Say...do they make those? 1/6 umbrellas?

Jessica
08-11-2008, 10:32 AM

Jessica
08-11-2008, 11:00 AM
The two suits you sent me (which I will be returning with C's complete suit maybe in two week's time--don't quote me on that) has two black buttons on the front, but I'm not sure if they match.

Holy smackers!! I just received that gorilla mask I ordered through the Mego Museum---it's bloody huge! (My toddler better grow up into a very big and tall guy). What a hoot. Jessica
08-11-2008, 02:50 PM
Snick did an awesome job, and he was also the first person to put the gorilla glyphs on the gorilla bandolier. I sent them to some of you guys who asked for them many months ago. Did anyone use them? I'm going to try that tonite. Something really simple!

I have them but have not put them on the bandolier yet. They look great though.

Snick, how did that happen? Not enough mold release put on?

Someday I need to try this, but I need to know what to avoid...

JESS - With silicone you don't need mold release because nothing sticks to it. This mold wasn't very sturdy to begin with and you need a bunch of glyphs for the Hunt Leader so there is a lot of wear and tear on it. It was age that killed that one.

Jess, I am unaware of any opening 1:6 umbrellas. The Product Enterprises John Steed figure came with a closed umbrella but the handle also produced a sword when removed. Cool, but not POTA.
Glyphs, glyphs, glyphs.....maybe once school starts up I'll find some free time and try my hand at them. I gotta have them.
Snick, that wagon looks ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! I so wish I had the spare chimp change to get one. I am truly envious.
Angel, your pix are always inspiring. Your gorillas totally rock! and those Mendez busts!!! Need a 1:6 hallway full of those bad boys!!
Michaels, AC Moore, Rag Shop (do they still exist anywhere?) used to all carry tiny 1:6 like buttons and snaps.
Jess, are you creating a "paper" pattern for the Cornelius suit just in case a need for suits pop up again later on?

Snick - Your ape wagon is really coming along buddy, and it'll look so much better once all that black color is covered under your drybrushing. How much money to you expect to spend using those paints from Citadel/Gaming Workshop? Just curious. Keep going! Work faster human, faster! :whip

Should the black paint be covered? I'm using the dvd as a guide and it looks like the bars are only partially brown. The frame appears to be black. If you have any color pix saved please email them.

The paints weren't that expensive. I think everything cost around $10-$15.

JESS - Thx! Painting this thing is taking up a large part of my life and I've never been happier!

Ironman--I have a "pattern" of the Cornelius suit in clear acetate. It helps me to make sure the checks match before I cut out the pieces. I just have to remember to put them away in a safe place. If you can believe it, there are only four pattern pieces to the suit: two for the sleeves, one for the front, one for the back and the collar.

Ironman/Kfog--I thought it would be cool to photograph the main apes in director's chairs with an opened umbrella sipping some margaritas by the poolside...you know...for when they are relaxing between shots. Kfog found a really cool one on Evilbay, but it's $75...don't have that much chimp change to throw around. THAT SUCKS!!

Yes, I had to count twice in my head. Each pattern piece is reversible, remember...

I've looked at Michael's, Ironman. They don't have buttons that tiny...But Angel is going to send me some from another 1/6 shirt that he will not use. I was thinking of having to make some with sculpey clay and baking them in the toaster oven.

If you ever look at an umbrella, they are not that hard to replicate. You just need to find the right metal rods that will spring back into shape. Someday if I ever find the right materials, I'll surprise you guys.

I have seen tiny buttons on Mego scale suits, and they suck. Whoever uses those buttons on Mego stuff should stop. They need to use 3D paint. But for these 1/6 scale clothing, there are real buttons. Just haven't seen them sold anywhere.

Would these work?

I believe Cotswold carries the 1:6 scale buttons as well.

Great, thank you for the update.

Jessica, I've been very busy helping my parents out. I ttok a few of my nephews and nieces into NYC yesterday so they could meet up with their cousin. We ended up eating at Carmines on 91st and Broadway. Great food, we had a load of fun. I'm extending my visit back east till October 18th.

Cool! I think those buttons would work! They just have to be painted. Shank buttons are more appropriate for suits. But how about the regular buttons with the eyes? I'm on a lookout for those...I know Angel's going to send me 10 buttons...but what if I needed more?

Angel,

I just logged on and saw that Snick has already received his wagon. What ever happend to mine? Why was it abandoned? What gives?

Sticks: Once your wagon is finished you will own something very unique. I know you’ll love this wagon and that you’ll actually see the "TLC" that I put into it for you.

Currently, your resin wagon (and my wooden wagon) are sitting beside each other, in my dining room, still unfinished. I have not been very motivated to work on either of these, as you already know. Snickertown knew I lost my enthusiasm with the wagons due to the long hours I was spending on them and he donated a small fee to me for the countless hours involved in his wagon. It was greatly appreciated, and inspirational to me because I actually made a few bucks on his project when he offered to do that for me.

It certainly was not a requirement of him, but in his fairness, he understood that I had no way of predicting the number of hours vested into this cumbersome project for him.

When your wagon is completed, I would have earned notta, zip, and zilch for all my efforts. This is due to my inability to predict the number of hours involved in this project for you.

In the beginning, when we all first decided to take on this project, I was trying to be really fair with Snick and you. The expensive project supplies required from each of you concerned me so much that I didn't want any financial payment from either of you guys. I thought that keeping the molds was fair enough. I didn’t want to burden either of you further with payments of any kind.

I honestly thought that I'd be able to quickly make more resin ape wagons, and that I’d just sell them for my income instead of charging you guys. Boy was I stupid and wrong! I had absolutely no idea that this project would require so much of my personal time. I should have charged you by the hour and kept the molds! That would have been much wiser of me. If that were the case, I would have made something for all my efforts on your project.

I hope you can understand the reason for the delay. My apologies for the wait Adam, I made a bad business call in agreeing to make this at such a massive loss. You owe me nothing, I just need to dig deep, get motivated and get this out of my home for you.

You and I both will be getting something from the Gentle Giant Exclusives! You get the first pick from the Exclusive Gentle Giants.

Spaceman wanted to reward me for my excellent efforts, he told me he added an extra prize beyond what was originally advertised. I'm lucky guy! Once the second place photo winner (that's Jessica) and the lottery drawing winner have made their selections from the three Gentle Giant Exclusives, Spaceman is going to award me the remaining prize. He'll be back in touch once he knows what that item is.:bunnydanc:elefant:bunnydanc

Angel, you are right, I am sure to be impressed with what you have created. I have always been blown away by the TLC, and foresight you have devoted to your craft. Although I will not be able to show you my appreciation financially, I promise you that I will breathe a new life into your wonderful creation as soon as I get my dirty ape paws on it. I plan to immortalize your wagon in another POTA stop motion piece and hopefully make you the proud father I already know you to be.

He needs six total black buttons: two on the front and two per sleeve.

Hi Jessica and Angel and anyone else interested. I know where you can find 1/6th scale buttons! Just go to http://www.battlegeartoys.com/ and look under Supply Room on the left. I have been dealing with Augie Romero for many years and he has some really nice 1/6th scale items. Later, Kent.:D
