Will there be any other new SW 1/4 pieces at SDCC?

I remember Andy saying a while back (before Grievous and Kenobi were announced) that he had just completed work on a SW 1/4 piece. Since the 2 newest announcements are obviously not that piece, do you think that Leia will show up at SDCC? I think that maybe we will see her.

It's possible that they only previewed/preordered Kenobi since he is still on track for '05. Remember Han was shown at SDCC last year, but didn't go up for preorder until December. I think we could see Leia or the Droids with their preorders to take place at a later date. What do you guys think?

I also agree with what Gruson said in another thread that we will see a very limited minor character exclusive at some point. They talked about how they were going to do characters like Bib Fortuna with extremely low ES's, so how awesome would a 750-1000 ES Greedo be?

How about a very limited Slave Leia, with an edition size of 69...?

Yeah, it and Marvel will probably have a couple announcements at SDCC.

Perhaps they didn't save Obi for SDCC because Leia was right on his heels. But it would be unusual to reveal the 2 so close together.

True, I also have very little interest in those. As I've said before, I MIGHT buy a Yoda or a Maul, but that's it.

Yeah, I think Leia might show up at SDCC. That or the Droids, I can't wait for them to do the ESB stuff though, Yoda, Boba,

Yes, but remember, they are revealing the first of their 1:1 busts. That Star Wars product reveal might just be the bust, not a new 1/4 figure. We'll see...

It'd be nice to see Boba announced.

As I said in another thread, I think that announcement will be the 1:1 bust line debut. Here's to hoping for a 1:1 Yoda bust, that would be pretty cool.:toast

I am going to guess that the first bust will be Yoda. It seemed likely at first that it might be Vader, but I think that with high quality helmets already available, Vader, Boba Fett, Stormtrooper, etc. wouldn't be that unique. Just buy a helmet and stick it on your shelf. A character whose face is visible would be more of a showcase for their skills. My guess would be Yoda. We'll see tomorrow night!

I think it'd be great if SS did a Vader 1:1 bust. No doubt, they'd give MR a run for their money. Here's hoping if another 1/4 figure is shown, it's Maul, Qui-Gon, or another prequel character.

I would rather see Maul or Gui-Gon before Leia, but we shall see.

They'd said that the OT was taking priority, but of course we've had Grievous. But I'd prefer Leia over any NT character and over most OT characters.

Yeah, Leia has a high probability of being next to so they can finish out the set.

There were stills of C-3PO from Ep. IV that could be seen in the background on the DVD Sideshow gave out at CIII. Certainly this suggests that these stills were used to sculpt the upcoming 1/4 piece. I think we'll see him and R2 after Leia.

I'd like to see the droids form one set when on display. They don't have to be sold together, but it would be nice if they went together like Vader and Kenobi. I think a good idea would be the classic pose where 3PO has his hand on R2's head.
