It has to do with the Symbiote's effect on Peter, it makes him darker, more cynical and well a little more EMO....I think its a nice way to show the differences not only in Spider-Man but in Parker as well. I wanted but passed on the MediCom Clark, at this point its a little too expensive for my budget but I'll cancel a slew of things to get Peter, its too tempting not to have Spidey and Peter on the same shelf as HT Supes and HT Clark.

right but I think its interesting that they decided to go with the Dark Parker with Symbiote suit underneath and not the traditional looking Parker with red suit underneath. Obviously the Symbiote suit is the focal point of the film but they've never offered a Parker before. I'd love to get a traditional Peter sent out. Even better if they went back and offered Spider-Man 1 figures with Spidey, Peter with glasses in High School and Green Goblin with armor! :rock

Just the ticket from black suited spiderman figure. You can order as many as you want using just one ticket. Normally most of the local toy shops in Japan can handle the order for you and you don't even need the ticket. Just make sure to pre-order it because this knida mail-away figure is pretty much "made for order", so they will make the quantity depends on how many pre-order they get.

This is exactly the same case for Medicom comic Symbiote and CK. I will guess it will be Sideshow online order exclusive.

It's a Spider-Man 3 figure, Peter hasn't worn his glasses since the beginning of the first movie, he didn't need them when he got his powers.

That said I'd love to see Medi go back to the previous films and make a Peter with red costume under his jacket.

I'd also buy a Green Goblin and Doc Ock from the previous films to expand my Medi Spider-Villains collection.

That's pretty effing cool looking. I'm being more impressed by Medicom's offerings all the time. I didn't think the two Spidey 3 figures looked to great, something about the leather-ish suit, but this figure is great. If I wasn't already down for all three upcoming Star Wars Medicom figures I would have to try and pick this one up.

I may have to anyway ... considering Spidey was always my favorite superhero and I seriously dug his black costume back in the days of Secret Wars.

In the long run I think I'd rather have the regular red and black suit showing instead of the black. Maybe my opinion will change after seeing the movie, but Parker wearing the black is like an asterik in his history.

To speak to screamingmetal's point, I find it odd that there's no Spider Man with Parker's head nor is there/has there been a battle damaged Spider Man with Parker's face showing through. Both those seem like home runs. Maybe for Spider Man 4?

there was a 12" 2 pack of Spidey and Doc Ock made for a Walmart exclusive. Toybiz i think made it. wasn't bad. Spidey had a good Toby sculpt and a rubber mask that slipped over that head. Ock had a nice cloth outfit.

The zipper is black plastic here, the one on Ghost Rider needed to be plated steel to be accurate to the source material. Companies that make zippers apparently don't make plated steel zippers at such a small scale so Medicom used what they had to in order to achieve the right look.

I'm so putting down my deposit at my local toy speciality store in Singapore for this.

They usually consolidate orders and deposits for these mailway figures, fill up the coupon that comes with the relevant figure (in this case, RAH normal and black spidey, as pointed out by Scarlet Spidey) and mail it off to their Japan contact. Then we wait.

The wait will kill me, just like how Medi Clark drove me mad previously (http://testicular-fortitude.blogspot.com/2006/12/medicom-real-action-heroes-brandon.html). thankfully it arrived in the week just before my wedding last year.

Thankfully this time round, I'll have my Peter Parker (Comic version) kit bash to muck around with till this baby arrives.

Hi chewblacca, I used Hot Toys Generation Life (HT GL) Caucasian Body for this bash. Problem is Medicom Comic Pete's complexion is so fair, it was very hard to find a body of a similiar skin tone. HT GL's Caucasian body seemed the fairest I could find, and has the added incentive of bendy fingers. I had to snip off the ball-jointed neck connector though, so the head's currently plugged on using a cyclindrical styrene stump (ripped off a Gundam sprue) and poster putty.

However, it is rather tall and doesn't look that great when posed next to Medicom Spiderman.

I'm with you there, the original three SM3 figures just turned up on the site at the same time as the newsletter and the Jango Fett went up for preorder with no warning whatsoever, so that doesn't bode well for this release IMHO.

Hopefully Sideshow will give fans some warning this time around, since alot of people will want this if they can't get it elsewhere.

I just wanted to chime in on the silver/graphite debate. Just because the actual costume may be graphite, the 1/6th representation shouldn't be the color of graphite, it should be more shiny -- just as the CGI representation isn't the color of graphite. This is especially true for the Parker figure because we really want the Spider to "pop" visually as it does in the one-sheet. I hope Medicom changes this before he's released, but I won't count on it.

I pulled out the Hot Toys Clark Kent from the closet yesterday and I was so in awe. It is a beautiful figure. Everything looks great, from the packaging right down to the smallest details on the clothing. I still haven't opened him yet but man am I tempted. I have all these SM3 figures on order through Sideshow because I wasn't sure that I was going to keep them but they just keep getting better with every glance I take. Oh my poor, poor wallet. I can't have it all so some tough decisions must be made. :monkey2

Medi CK is not as cool as HT version, but you will love Medi CK's head sculpt.

Sideshow is the Official US Distributor for Medicom Toys and it's products. Other online retailer will get him for sure... Just keep you eyes peeled and ears open...

Just wanted to add, that sideshow should honor all those pre orders that involved 2 parkers, whether it was one person or Two different people with two different CC's but in the same house. Because they are at fault for originally listing it as a 2 piece limit, it is their own fault. I'll let you guys know what they say on the phone tomorrow.

Well I really don't want to have to bother with that, I just like to order from sideshow since they get it first and its much more convenient that any other site out there. And other sites will jack up the price.

In the comics, Peter could make it look however he wanted. Peter and for that matter Brock, could make the suit look like whatever he wanted. The suit even had a pocket-dimension to store Peters camera, wallet, keys, whatever...

In fact in one issue of Web of Spider-Man, Peter jokes about never having to wear clothes ever again. :lol

Great looking fig. I love alter ego figs. I'll prolly get a red spidey shirt too and substitute it from time to time. Doesn't look like a mask will fit well over that head sculpt but you never know....

I haven't seen the film yet but its my understanding that the Peter look when Symbiote influenced and without are two completely different looks. The Black Spidey undershirt is completely perfect for this look because its the look that he's under when he's "black suited". Putting the red shirt underneath I don't think would work....One thing I was thinking about is getting a second Black Suited Spidey and Peter and putting the Peter head on over the full costumed Spidey. That'd be a neat look...

I thought the "Saturday Night Fever" segment was the funniest part of the movie.
Saw Spidey 3 for the 3rd time on Monday and the more I see this movie the more I like it. I just really enjoy movies by Sam Raimi.

Thanks Scarlet, I used Hot Toys GL Asian body for Clark and an old BBI body from the Carlos figure for them. Glad u like them. Parker could look better, he's hiding the entire Spidey suit under Medi Andy Warhol's clothes. :)

I think most Medicom human heads need repainting. The -leaving-the-skin-the-unpainted-plastic-color bit is not doing it for me.

With a repaint this might be as good as the X3 Logan.
