As the title states, I'm looking for a Luke and a Vader "A New Hope" Lightsaber props.

Do not need to be electronic, as my plan is to display them alongside their respective character helmet props (Luke's X-Wing Helmet and Vader's Helmet). They just need to look "authentic" without costing me an arm and a leg... :wink1:

I have no clue as to what is available out there. I did check out a couple of dedicated lightsaber sites but I'm not even sure what they were referring to, as they obviously were trying to steer clear of any Disney/LucasArts trademark infringements.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I would 2nd Romans. He's also currently working on an MPP. You can preorder both. His GRAFLEX is a functional flash unit, which is amazing. His MPP will be static. You will need to turn them into "lightsabers" yourself, but he does sell completed GRAFLEX lightsabers (static), & I'm sure he'll do the same with the MPPs.
Here's my Luke ANH I made using his GRAFLEX, & added parts from wannawanga.com

Also, if you're looking for Obi-Wans ANH lightsaber, the only thing better than Romans is a real parts. It's perfect! In fact, I'm swapping his replicated parts for real parts (as I find them).
This is mine with real GRAFLEX clamp, calculator bubble strip, transistors (on the saber), real balance pipe, & Armitage Shanks sink knob (on the side). I now also have (since this photo was taken) a real Hales no.3 mk.1 rifle grenade. Still looking for the booster.

FYI, if you're looking for a Romans GRAFLEX. He has his newest GRAFLEX Gen 2 up for preorder now. They're at a sale price now, but the price goes up soon.

Thanks Centurion :duff

There's also Korbanth for Obi-Wan and Vader.
Look into https://saberforge.com/ under Elite sabers. They just released an MPP double reveal for Darth Vader, (under Crystal Sabers) and are currently working on a double reveal Graflex.
For film sabers, they also have:
Avenger - Obi -Wan Ep 1&2
Guardian - Qui Gon Ep 1
The Count - Count Dooku Ep 3
Redeemer - Obi-Wan Ep3
Prodigal Son - Luke Ep6
They also feature sabers from the EU books, video games, animated shows as well as other characters. Check them out.

Hey guys, I am a bit lost between all the brands out there.

Could you direct me towards a nice accurate version of the ROTJ Luke? Either regular or weathered.

Not interested in any kind of electronics, this is just for display.

Thanks!

Personnaly i was looking for a vader saber also just for display and i’ve found a 2003 MR ANH FX empty ( complete but without blade and electronic) for about 90$ on ETSY. The seller is cbsaberparts and sell some parts or complete old sabers like mine for a very good price.

And for the specialists, what do you advise between «*the custom saber*shop» and «*korbanh*»? Seems quite identicals. Both need assembly?

I was a customer of Roman's waaaaaaay back when when he was perfecting his 'DM's. Got a couple of his sabers.

Still got'em. Still love 'em.

Would recommend in a heartbeat.

My issue with what I've been seeing until now is that too often accuracy is sacrificed to make the hilt more usable for those who want to use them as "actual" lightsabers. For example the bottom of the sink knob on Roman's upcoming Luke hilt can be removed to install a plate with sound holes, and that creates a seam that's not there on the original prop. That's really annoying.

I'm just looking for accurate replicas without the price tag of the MR ones, but that's really hard to find apparently, at least on websites that sell directly online (I'm sure there are other ways via the RPF but I'm not going down that rabbit hole :lol).

If a tiny seam is enough to annoy you, you'll never be happy with your purchases. Ever.

Take it from someone who's been there and watched it consume others I consider friends.

Unless you're an actual 'maker', no-one else can create the ultimate version of whatever you want as it exists in your head. And even then, the makers aren't happy with their own visions. Hence the 'V2's, 'V3's, etc.

Don't let a fanatical attention to detail be the hill you die on. ;)

Yeah no worries, if I can't find something better I'll either "settle" for his or the upcoming one from Custom Saber Shop but neither of those have full proper pics yet so I'm gonna wait and see if I find something else in the meantime.

I know what you mean, definitely something I want to avoid haha ;)
