Let's keep the all sixth scale review week rolling with a look at the main man, Lobo! Sideshow has just released their take on the classic 80's character, and I have to say I'm very, very pleased:

I also have a guest review up of the latest Universal Soldiers figures from Dam Toys and Blitzway:

You can find them both with the rest of the reviews at the usual:

Thanks for reading!

Overpriced like everything else we are a slave to, but a very stellar figure from Sideshow. The expression, sculpt and paint are awesome.

It's really odd that they didn't make his boots two parts. There is a seam right there they could have utilized

Yea, I was surprised by that too, although it's more of a Hot Toys thing these days to do the two piece boots. It would be a smart move though, and at this price point...

SSC, who isn't the most efficient figure manufacturer, might have jacked up the cost another $10-15 if they added that joint, so maybe it was the best move for them.

Looks really good, though. Sideshow is on a bit of a roll! I'm particularly impressed with the vest and jeans. I hope they can keep it up with Jack Burton.

The outfit looks fantastic on the Burton prototype, so I'm glad to see this one - especially the jeans - look so good on this production figure. I have high hopes for Burton, although I wasn't as impressed with the head sculpt.

I was looking over the pics again and really all the costume parts look really good. The belt has a really nice patina and the jacket looks terrific. And of course the jeans.

yeah, I'm comparing that stuff to what we got with some of the GI Joes, and it's night and day. Zartan seems a natural point of comparison here, and if he were handled with this level of care it would have been really nice.
