I agree, this was a terrible year for movies. Just about everything was 'meh' to 'god awful'.

I have to qualify: when I give Rogue One BEST it still is an 8/10 for me.

I saw Deadpool and X-Men Apocalypse, and while I enjoyed the former and consider the latter a guilty pleasure neither had enough substance for me to say they belong in a "best of" list. Same goes for Star Trek Beyond. Still need to see The VVitch, Hacksaw Ridge, and a few other films people told me were good from this year. Also I haven't subjected myself to Ghostbusters 2016 yet.
