I'm feeling a little cranky today, which might explain some of my complaints with the new Captain Phasma from Hot Toys. I avoid reading others comments on figures before I review them, so I have no idea if others are in love with her or not, but I'm in the 'not category. You can find my review here:

or with the rest of the reviews at the usual:

Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend!

Thanks for the review! I didn't think you were being particularly harsh or picky. They all seemed like very fair points. Actually, you probably saved me $250 because I've really been torturing myself on whether I should get her. After reading your review, I can feel at peace with passing on her.

I think the "wave of wonderment" for TFA -- and all things Star Wars -- has waned, at least for me. Star Wars OD. Looking forward to Rogue One, less so Episode VIII. The enjoyment of TFA has lessened as I get farther from it. And things like Phasma just fall flat.

I think it's a pretty nice figure overall but the price is out of whack and like all TFA stormtroopers offers so little articulation. I really just don't get what they were thinking with that awful vinyl/pleather under suit. For every figure that wows with the advancements that HT makes like the paint and engineering of the Mark 45 or Deadpool and his great suit there's head scratchers like this.
