Indy used 2 handguns in Raiders. The Smith & Wesson which is my fav, and the Browning HP semi-auto for the bar fight. The Browning would be a good exclusive.

I guess standard accessories would include the idol, sandbag and maybe gloved hands.

I could definitely see them doing the Browning as the exclusive. It makes as much sense as the Greedo blaster for Han.

I like the new avatar, btw!

Yours is still my favorite that I've seen on this forum. Love Roy's peepers.
And Congrats on the 1k Indy post.

I wonder how long it'll be between unveiling Indy and when we can order him? Toy Fair can't come fast enough.

That body in the teaser pic is standing quite well, doesn't look like SS body proportions. Could they have caved and went with the Hot Toys body? One can only hope.

That looks REAL, period.

The best Harrison Ford sculpt ever made, not only in the Indy license. It's freakishly true to Raiders.

I'm still sad we didn't get a chance for any Indy non-PF statues and dioramas, but considering that it's INDIANA JONES, it just might be the only 12" figure I buy just to play with, ever.

Although Trevor's work belongs in a museum. :)

Obviously, the INDY 1:6 line will not be nearly as expansive as the SW line. But we should expect to see at least 5-6 different versions of Indy himself and about that many supporting character figures.

And a 1:6 Ark of The Covenant is a must (as is a 1:4 version as well).

Okay, seriously, I went to a local toy show in Phoenix today and one of the sellers had this figure and I wanted to share the pics. I apologize for the face being covered by the hat, but I didn't want to hassle the guy and ask him to open box and move hat just so I could take photos. I guess these were put out shortly after the movie, so sometime back in early 80's. He said these were a fairly limited release. Asking price was $295. We then talked about SS new IJ license and what will be shown at upcoming toy fair.

That's right, it's exactly the same sculpt, down to the seventies hair, although they changed the colour of the eyes to brown.

With the packaging it's actually a really nice figure, though not worth $300 unless C10 mimsb!

Fairly limited release my arse! I vivdly remember these being clearanced out at TRU and KB like all the other Indy stuff because at the time it just didn't sell. And that price of $295 is crazy. I see from the sneak peek that he's got the gloved hands, makes me wonder what the exclusive might be, one head with hat one without? idol? alternate gun from the Raven bar? How bout a cobra for the Well of Souls scene with the pane of glass.
Hoping a Well of Souls Marion is next in line.

I guess I half expected Sideshow to do something today as the official teaser trailer for Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is out today.

C'mon, Indy!

The flip side of that is that there will be a fair number of people, just like Star Wars fans, who will slavishly love the film, and declare it the best thing ever no matter what the quality turns out to be.

Don't get me wrong, I'm as huge an Indy fan as there is and want the film to be awesome. The trailer looks really good and gives me more hope after some of the wacky rumors I've heard. I'll just reserve judgment until I actually see the film. :)

Did anybody see the crate that had "Roswell, New Mexico" stamp??
What's up with that?
(Sorry if it's known, I haven't read spoilers...)

Any place to actually download the high res trailer? I loved the fact that they let you download The Dark Knight a while back. I'm just dying to put it on the PS3.

The trailer was good. Personally, I'd like to save the love it/hate it comments until I've seen the film. What I've seen looks promising though,

There's a new poll up on Sideshow's main page asking if you'll be pre-ordering 12" Indy during Toy Fair. What a silly question!

That one is silly. I'm sure most people on this board will be ordering it.

I'll be ordering it, yes, as it won't be just another piece of junk collecting dust...

...unlike most of my collection. :D

There's a tiny picture of the 12'' figures head in the newsletter.

Notice the neck angle to the head? Trev sculpted a neck, but unless it's photoshopped, it looks like a new body. They could have gotten rid of the neck. Or the shadows and coat give it that appearance. The proportions in the silhouette teaser looked better than a Sideshow body.

Here's hoping.

You got that right. I'm not going to break this thread up (cause it's way too much work) but I am going to lock it.
