I think a lot of it has to do with the announcement by SS of how this would be handled (scalpers). I bet we see a bunch on eBay before the end of the day.

And don't worry people, a lot of these will be cancelled because the exclusive is pretty lame and won't be worth the extra money.

Well, there should be at least 1000 (very likely more than that) regular editions available. I haven't heard one person herald the exclusive as an absolute must have. I doubt anyone that will be paying attention this week will miss out.

I imagine that several potential flippers/scalpers placed an order because of the hype and buzz surrounding the new order method. If the buzz dies down and everybody is happy to get the regular version for less, then the lessened demand will cause some of the profiteering orders to get cancelled.

I can't believe it..Why offer this type PO opportunity on one of the most popular SS characters....As you can tell, I tried to place an order, but after only 2 minutes, (and about 20 left..:rolleyes: ), they are gone...I placed a waitlist..and I know about 50 people are gonna say, "just get on the waitlist dude, it will be converted.."

The exclusive 1/6 scale Kit Fisto sold out in about 20 minutes and had an ES of 1,250. The last two sold on ebay for $63 and $56. Don't be dismayed by a quick sellout when the ES is that high.

If you don't want any of those pieces (or already bought them for less money on the secondary market) then yes, you are going to be just as frustrated if they use this approach again next time.


And if you are really patient, you will be able to get the exclusive Maul for less on eBay, just like every other Star Wars PF with an ES of 500 or more.
