Count me in. Anyone know what the SRP will be? I assume this will be higher end than the maquetes from last year.

1:1?
Well, is it?

No, it isn't 1:1. It's closer in size to the busts. I will find a shot that shows his scale...

OK, he's not shown here, but you can see the edge of the COTT logo. Bubo is about three wall slats tall, so compare that to the height of the LOTR busts. He's just a bit taller than a bust.

I'd never get one of those. Who would want a statue that you can only look at in a mirror?

I thought he would be 1:1. Oh well. At least it'll be more affordable. I'm definitely ordering Bubo!

This is a no brainer for me I watched COT so many times when I was kid it is silly. Loved this little owl an how his mechanical eyes worked.

RAY HARRYHAUSEN IS A GOD NO DOUBT!!!:D
If this was a lifesize prop I think I'd faint.
I'll be getting this for sure. :drool
I really wish GG would get the liscense to the other Harryhausen/Schneer movies and release some nice statues.
Cyclops...:drool
Hydra...:drool
Troglodyte...:drool

The Clash figures just didn't do anything for me. I'd prefer them as staues than just plastic figures.

Is this one a statue? It certainly doesn't look to be made of plastic.

I find myself attracted more and more to smaller items. Maybe it's wrestling with the boxes for Hulk PF, Luke/Yoda PF and Jabba's throne all in one weekend...
So I just might get this little Bubo.

Yeah there is something to be said for an item that you don't have to invite a couple buddies over to help you move.

I too will be getting this. I saw some other pictures of COT items from TF. Were those the figures that have already been released?

Yes those are the previously released items. Here's to hoping for more Clash items.

GG's decision to go with figures instead of statues boggles my mind. Harryhausen deserves better than figures.

In the end I dont think it was GG decision I think it had more to do with licensing because what they had at SDCC was certainly bigger and statues compaired to the rotocasts which we ended up with. Don't get me wrong the roto casts are pretty cool but the statues were awesome.

Darn licensing rules. :monkey2
Here's another picture with Bubo in it to get a sense of size.

Gentle Giant is so submissive to their license-holders. I swear they'll bend over a barrel for the likes of LFL or whoever at the drop of a hat.
Hence, we get things like a homogenized Slave Leia statue and plastic Harryhausen figures.
Grow some balls, GG.

I remember seeing the statue ad SDCC 2005 and feel in love with them. I got to admit that I was disappointed that they weren't made as statues....that would have been awesome. Perhaps some day....

Wish it was 1:1 though.

A 1:1 version would be awesome... but this could be a nice desk decoration. Or maybe have him hanging out around some plants!
Definitely down for this one! I love COT! One of my favorite movies and always so much fun to watch. I would like it if they'd make a larger version of the Kraken... the one they have is nice. But anything Kraken related needs to be Titanic in size!!!

Statues really would have been the greatest thing ever a would love to have a 1/6 statue of Perseus on Pegasus. Like the Weta LOTR and Narnia On steeds. Imagin the Cover of Perseus on Pegasus Vs the Kraken with Medusa head in hand.

GG is saying that it will be a LE of 500 and are calling it a statue but we all know how that can turn out with them sometimes. Either way the link to buy it from me is below

That is gorgeous, 1:1 scale or not, I don't care.
I've loved this little guy ever since I saw Clash of the Titans as a kid; it still remains one of my favorite fantasy/adventure movies of all time.

I noticed that Bubo can't be purchased....not enough in stock. Is there truly a high demand for him? I put myself on the waitlist...I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Yeah, I think this is going to be a popular piece. One of those sleeper hits. This one is going to quietly sell out. I pre-ordered mine through Most Wanted Collectibles.
