Konami has a 360* degree pictures and I was really impressed with it so I am adding this to my get-list.I am not a fan of the "old" Snake head but if they make a young version I'll definitely be after that as well.

So are they using a muscular/rubber body like Hot Toys, or is that just some kind of rubber skin over a normal body? Looks pretty cool either way.

its a rubber skin/suit over a modified RAH 301 body. supposely the joints are beefed up with metal to handle the extra stress. the draw back on this is that the hands are part of the rubber suit, so there are no extra hands to change, total bummer.

That's not the worst thing about the hands/wrists...there are NO wrist joints, so articulation there at all.

I prefer the MGS2 Solid Snake as the best version in my opinion.

I don't mind the fixed hands...but those tears are unacceptable in my opinion. This is one thing that Medicom fails on terribly. They have the worse quality control on their figure outfit designs of the "Big 3". Companies like Hot Toys would've found a way to work around it (perhaps use another material) and Sideshow...well...I dunno...they're just doing their first armored figure afterall. :D

I have this figure,really dissapointed with the paint tearing,really annoying,i bended the arms 1 time and the paint was tearing apart,all the bright blue spots of the suit is like that,the dark blue is ok,just rubber.

That's unfortunate. I was curious, how is the articulation? Is it hard to keep poses without the suit pushing it back?

Honestly...i havent tried since i lifted both arms to try and the suit started to crack under both of his arms,i havent dared to try and get the suit ruined more than it allready is.The Hands have no articulation,just pure rubber,no joints or anything,here is pics of mine:

Tried,but he said this is something we would have to forward to Medicom,since this is not the sellers fault,since i was the one ****ing up the weak suit.

You would think this is a tight suit on his body,but its not,its alot of air between the actual body and his Suit,which makes it very un-realistic,Medicoms poorest product by far imo.

Hey, thanks for the pics Mookeylama! I can see he actually has wrist joints, but he is also getting suit crush just like the Appleseed figures. Look at his elbow, it's all bunched up. :monkey2

And yeah, I'm getting him. Hopefully he will actually be a Q2 release. Late Q2. All this stuff coming early is killing me. I never even got a 15-20 day notice for Old Snake, just a 3-5 day. Killin me SSC, killin me.

Raiden's suit ends at the wrists and it looks like his hands are detached from the rest of the suit:

Snake's suit extends fully over his body, including his wrists and hands.

I guess that means Medicom was trying to be accurate, but they couldn't even get the color of Snake's harness right, so I dunno.

Even still, I would have been more than ok if their Snake had the same wrist joints that Medi Raiden has. Better joints than no joints.

He has a few tiny paint/rubber rips, but nothing major or that you would see under closer inspection. I might return him to SSC if I see more when I get him home. The two I noticed most were on his left upper thigh where the light and dark blue rubber meet and on the inside of his left arm at the elbow. I wish there was some way to tighten his suit up.

I think it's a good looking figure, except the suit being so puffy and weird. I don't understand that. I can't really pose him because of this, as his suit bunches up like the Appleseed fiugres. And not having hands or joints kinda ruins it to. So I think he will just go in the back of my Snakes when I get more. But he looks really good.

Ok, that's my 2 cents. Let me know if you got more questions.

Raiden looks to be more accurate than the Medi Snake. I really hope the character is awesome and not a wuss (in the game).
