I just read about this at Action-Figure.com (http://www.action-figure.com/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=21090)...

"Attention Harry Potter fans, ActionFigureXpress (http://www.shopafx.com/) wrote in to let us know that they will be selling a mystery, very limited Harry Potter collectible on their site tomorrow..."

"The item will go on sale on February 10th at 10am PST and will be limited to just 500 pieces..."

All you Potter fans better jump on this, word is it's going to be a GG bust. If that's the case, the edition size is the same as the SDCC Malfoy bust! I've provided links to both sites above!

I paid the $50 to GG as well. Maybe this is a NECA exclusive? I heard they have some things up their sleeves.

Seems like a weird situation. Maybe they were relying on word of mouth for this? Whatever it ends up being, I hope everyone (including GG's collector's club members) are happy. :)

Lets face it, GG is stupid. They treat their collectors like crap. I'm glad I dont' collect their stuff because I can't stand them even now. Making people $50 to get "all" of their exclusives and then do this is just a low blow and flat out sneaky/disgusting. I hope GG eventually goes under because of their treatment of collectors.

looks like it.if the merperson is 6" tall the exclusive critter can only be 3"
so unless your potter mad its no biggy

As an extra added bonus, our exclusive Merperson Mini Bust will include an exclusive Grindylow statue, not available anywhere else! Grindylows are green water demons with sharp little horns and pointed fangs.

I wouldn't be surprised. There seems to be something different about the Mer bust and the Grindylow is a complete exclusive.

Probably a similar change to the Merperson that was made to the SDCC Malfoy Deatheater.

Congrats. It's a nice piece for a Potter fan.

The site was swamped as it went on sale, but apparently the supply is still exceeding demand. Hopefully it will sell out eventually, but everyone who wants it will get one.

It seems obvious that the grindylow is the only part of this that's exclusive, although I can see the regular release Mer person being a different color too.

And I have to say that this bust does nothing for me. I wouldn't get it except I'm now an HP GG completist.

I think it's a very cool looking bust and perfect for a run of 500. However, there appear to be conflicting reports as to whether this bust is limited or the mini bust is. Either way, I'm glad I got it because I too am a HP bust completist.

And Dave, I couldn't agree more. I'd be furious if I had paid $50 for the Premier Club and they pulled a stunt like this. I really don't get GG sometimes.

Keep in mind thought that this deal with AFX was likely in place and finalized before the Collectors Club went live anyway. And I was never one to presume that they would have all exclusives through their collector's club anyway.

Just because a company has a collector's club doesn't mean that can't offer exclusives through other venues.

MR had the Lynk Target exclusive that was not offered on their site.

I think that this is the PERFECT item for an exclusive of 500.

It was, if you recall to be a Statue and then withdrawn. I'd rather them use the sculpt and let's face it - only HP completists will get it.

Perfect item - perfect edition size.

I've just ordered mine and paid $47.00 shipping to the UK (YIKES!!!!)

Oh I know who the character is, just hadn't seen any pics of her from the movie. I like her better in the scholl uniform in that still, but the bust does have a great likeness.
