So I was thinking the other day about C-3PO and which one would look good next to my SS SW figures. I know that the Hasbro one will not work out but is there a model that will look good in a display with the Rebels and Jedi

The Koto piece with R2 is stunning.

True but I am looking for something more in scale with the SS figures. The Koto version IMO is closer to Medicom scale than SS.

I like the 12" one that came with the book. Though it does hace a cheezy decal on his chest.

Both the original 12" (I believe it was POTF series) and the later desert "dirty" version 12" released by Hasbro are quality figures. Both have rudimentary articulation (Swivel head shoulders, and legs), but the sculpts are great. Plus, they used golden metal vac so he looks realistic. I am displaying my Sideshow figures with both the Regular 12" 3P0 and the opening compartment (with metal saw attachment) R2 and they look like they were born for each other. Plus, I am willing to bet you can find either one for a steal on Amazon right now.

The electronic R2-D2 and C-3PO look the best to me, especially if you are looking for ones to pose with Jabba et al.

Until Sideshow gives us 12" scale droids, I am going to have my Gentle Giant C-3PO statue standing by Jabba.

To clarify, I mean the modern original made in the late 1990's. The original from 1970s looks like crap... which is to be expected :D

The Hasbro R2 and 3PO work pretty well with Sideshow figures.

I use the Gentle Giant 3PO too to display with Luke, Salacious and Bib for now. I do hope Gentle Giant Leia Slave will fit on Jabba's throne, would be great! ah and I have Chewie statue next to Han 12" figure too, really cool IMO, even If the Gentle Giant Chewie is after Han has been frozen in Carbonite and not so screen accurate If putting them together but, who cares?!

Now that SSC has the armored body, I'm sure they'll use it for C3PO.

^^ I agree....Great custom 3PO!!!

Honestly, while Hasbro had their fair share of bad 12" SW figs from their license, there is a decent one here and there. I use the 1996 POTF 12" C-3PO (the one that was in gatefold packaging) and it looks great on display w/ my Sideshow 1/6 scale figs.
