Hey Guys,
I just bought one of the 5 'The Dark Lord Sauron' that SSC was offering at 25% off. At that price I couldn't help myself.

I was wondering if he was in 1/4 scale? i.e. will he look right beside Lurtz?

Does anyone know? :ogat

He is in 1/6 scale, which is the same scale as the other SS/W pieces. He'll tower over Lurtz, but remember that in the opening of FOTR (his only real appearance), he towered over the humans and elves. So the size is right.

Waitaminit...were you talking about the PF Lurtz, or the Sideshow Weta Lurtz-in-a-Loincloth?

Ah - i was talking about PF lurtz - but if Sauron is in 1/6 scale - he should go well with the 1/6 scale Aragon, Legolas, etc. (meaning the non-polystone variety) yes?

He should look fine. I considered getting him for just this reason! Actually, he's going to look huge no matter who you put him next to! Enjoy him, but be careful. He's delicate.

I always shudder whenever I see those small cheap toys next to the cavey and balrog...

As you can see from the Pic Sauron is pretty Massive and will fit in really well with the PF line as far as scale goes because he's so big.

Sorry Fe. It's an empty spot for them.

Hey guys, I just got him in the mail and am piecing it together.
The mace seems to be really loose (i.e. wont stay on). Is there a trick to it or should I resort to glue?

Off topic, but seeing the Cave troll makes me want to ask: Will Cavey fit into a Detolf?

NEVER! Use blu-tack, but only on non-exposed areas.

I usually use masking tape to make it thicker.

That's what I do.

Tape is easy to remove.

Try using teflon tape

Risky move I think - I'm not sure if Detolf glass shelf can handle the weight of Cave Troll, maybe try to display it on the bottom shelf.
