And so do mine compared to this collector.

This was recently posted to Facebook and I thought I'd repost some of the photos and a link here as I was blown away.

So, maybe you think you've seen some impressive shelves? Some large collections? A wide assortment of grails? Super clean and organized display spaces?

Well.... You probably haven't seen anything like this.

First, here's a shot of the outside of the collection room. Yeah, the collector calls it a house, most people would call it a museum, art gallery or glass castle.

I've seen this, it's amazing!

Averone just posted a video on Facebook of another collector with a showroom size of a small house!

This is the next level for collectors out there!!

I mean, it's obviously enormously impressive but I can't get past the fact that if I had that kinda bread, the last thing I'd do is mess around with mass market crap (relatively speaking) from SSC and the like. I imagine I'd be all-in on screenused props and OOAK original art (snob! :wink1:). This reminds me of all those giant Star Wars collection rooms full of POTF2 stuff - cool to see it all in one place, but it's a little baffling to me that people can cherish such common items so.

Still, it truly is jaw-dropping. Amazing structure. Stunning collection. Totally jealous.

There you go, I just fixed some text in the first post that was preventing two photos from showing up.

Mighty impressive but at that scale it's not a hobby or pass-time. It's a full blown obsession. I'm good with my 3 detolf's lol That's crazy

I've talked to this dude on another forum. I agree with what The Boot said above. If I had a spare mil for this kind of thing I doubt I'd fill it with mass produced SS stuff. Actually I would never devote so much space to my collection even if I could afford to. It's very impressive none the less.

There is not a word to describe how insane this is, even with all the money dont think I would build something like this. But still very very impressive, with sideshow I never really wanted the mass collection, since I avoid the DC, Marvel PF's

WTF! I quit! At this level, this person might as well be a real life Batman or Iron Man! :lol

Pass! I like to walk around my house naked :D

Maybe this person doesn't have time to hunt down screen used memorabilia and the likes, maybe they don't want to.
I'd rather have an awesome statue of a character I love than some worn out, deteriorating, latex mask that was screen used.
Different strokes for different folks.
I'd go lifesize Statues if I had the money and space.

Collecting Sideshow isn't just for the moderately poor :)

Speechless tnx for the upload. I wonder if he's Sideshow Freaks member or frequent lurker. Well I collect Predators the same way they take us out. One by one...

Maybe it's just me but it doesn't really impress me that someone just bought a lot of stuff and has it coldly displayed like this. I'd rather see someone's collection in their living room or office with 25 pieces but they've spent countless hours organizing and working on their display and you can see the time, effort and love they've put in to not only obtaining pieces, but to really work on showing them off.

And that's not evident (in spades) in these photos? The statues didn't just crawl up into the displays themselves. ;) Maybe their personal shopper or butler set up the displays, I don't know, but whomever did it took untold numbers of hours. The planning and care to set up the space to even host the statues shows that a lot of care, effort and love (and passion and of course dollars) went into this. There's nothing necessarily less genuine about a lavish setup compared to a more modest one.
