Last pic is amazing

Thank u guys!! I truly appreciate it.. Working also on the Predator 2 Elder, Borg, Brother Boar and Boar as we speak, hopefully share with u soon some pics.. Thanx again

There are so many great customs of this out there. It really goes to show just how accurate NECA's sculpt is.

Yes, it is very good looking, if a bit undersized, closer to 1/5 scale. I used to have all 3 versions of this guy and they display great.

To me the perfect scale for this guys are 1/6 scale.. And for some reason, once u put the QSCALE Dutch from NECA, looks a bit small..

It is so odd how almost everyone gets the scale wrong with Preds. All the 1/6 Hot toys are undersized, the 1/5 statues line from SS are, even the LSF Wolf is too.

Interesting.. Never noticed that before

The P1 maquette is oversized, but I'm not complaining. I got a 1/4 Neca Guardian Predator last week (just out of curiosity and to play with some paint) and was very surprised how small they are compared to the maquette.

Speaking of which, Dano, I need to learn from the work you've done already. Do the joints just pull apart on these? And have you found a decent solution for the netting as I'm sure I'll destroy it when I remove it. These are okay, but I don't like the limited range of movement, I'll probably take it apart and just glue it into a nice pose.

Sup man? Well, yeah!! I found 2 netting a that works wonders!! But imo the perfect one is one u buy at eBay as crab crawfish netting, the measurements are .39 x .39 of an inch, or 1cm X 1cm mesh hole size, but still a lil too big, so when u place it u need to hair dry it so the mesh hole shrinks without burning!! And the joints are easy to take out, but, I rather have a lil movement that none at all..

Nice, thank you for that, I'll have a look. The reason I said I may glue it into a fixed pose is that I thought I might have a go at covering the joints by sculpting them to blend in with the body and put it on a small base. And also because the arms are too wide for my liking, I like the relaxed look myself and mine has a stubbornly wide arm pose. I got it for just under £60 all in all so it's just for a play around really. They are okay for the money but clearly benefit from improved paint etc. Going to give it a good sanding down and a base coat first as it does look very plasticy. One for a rainy day.
