View Full Version : How Many Nazgul Will You Buy?
Captain Faramir

I couldn't imagine living with only one lonely Nazgul on my shelf, but my budget could never allow any more than that. How many of you are going for all Nine? What about just the five from Weathertop? Or do you hate the Nazgul all together? Or maybe you just don't like Lord of the Rings? If so, why are you here? Go away.
I've been wondering this for a while, I'm excited to see the results.

Well now, that will depend on how many Sideshow lets us buy, now wouldn't it!!! :rotfl

Lol. I'm imagining that since the other eight used the standard Ringwrath sword that the obvious SSC Exclusive will be the Sword of the Witchking, if that's the case I'll definitely buy one SSC Exclusive and one standard then when I get the funds eventually collect the seven more I need. I definitely can't imagine having a "complete" Nazgul set up without all nine...

I'd probably get just one. I'm more interested in the representation of the character(s) as opposed to actually recreating any specific Nazgul involved scene.*
*then again, if we get a fellbeast in 1/6th scale, I'll splurge for a second Nazgul... :monkey3

This has always been a tough one.
For die hard fans who need all 9, will they really be all that different on the shelf crowded together?
For me, I'll settle for just one: the WitchKing, with removable armor so I can choose to make him the final battle warrior or just the lead rider.

I'll get the exclusive assuming it's the WK sword and one regular. I'd like to get 9 to represent them all but a lot will depend on money.

I've added a poll now too. After reading the beautiful new book about all the weapons, I found that each Ringwraith had a unique sword as well. Sideshow sure could milk this one if they wanted too...........

The first LOTR Accessory Pack. :D
If they did that I'd get all 9 for sure.

Hmm...."Weapons of the Nazgul." Pretty fancy!

In the PF line, I would get just one. I am not collecting the 12" line, so it would be none for me in that scale--although I would like to see it made, and I would be excited to check out the pictures.

But those are stuck to the display board!
Funny though, it sounded so familiar when I wrote it. I wondered why it sounded so nice LOL.

...and they are 1/4 scale at that! I think...

I'd just be in for one... but if there was a separate WK version then maybe two.

One for me, but at this point I just want an announcement.

Most likely 3-4. But that depends on a few variables that I can't count on right now. It'd be nice to get 9, but they won't fit on a Detolf shelf and that's where these will eventually be going.

Yeah for me just the one...Unless they did them all in "true form", then that might be different....I would rather see a Fell beast in 1/6 scale!

I'd like to buy eight Nazgul eventually. I would leave one spot open for the Witchking in his armor, but the other guys weren't really distinguishable apart from their weapons. I would certainly shop around for the absolute lowest price on these though, and break my trend of ordering directly from Sideshow.

Same here... just one or two if the WK is seperate.. which I'm sure he will be.

I think that multiple Nazgul can lead to a lot of cool display options. If they make a horse, a couple of them can be bearing down on Arwen, one could be hanging out trying to find the four hobbits on a lower shelf, and Aragorn could be facing off with some. If we ever get Eowyn as Dernhelm, maybe she could join the fight too. They seem ever-present in the films, no reason for that to be different on my shelves!

I keep saying when they do the Nazgul, the Morgul Lord should be the exclusive. Oh and I voted for nine or nothing.:rock:rock:rock

Probably only 2 to 4. I doubt I'll have enough room for all nine.

I suppose from my point of view it depends on the release schedule and whether they are EXACTLY identical. If each slightly different I'd probably get the lot - I'm a completist at heart. That said they would probably go into my "I'll get it when I get around to it" pile as I suspect between 9 variants they should be heaps on the secondary market. That and I can't see myself forking out about $US500 for them in one hit.
I think this would be a good character to spread out amongst the other releases - things like accessory packs don't address the scarcity issue of the base figure.
My preferred option would be to see the King and one other, and the other comes with all the options to make any other variant. I'd then pick up a few more of that "other" over time.

Im a fan of the Nazgul but i dont need more that one, to much space and i dont need 9 different guys in blak cape.
I think that Sideshow will make again only the WK because in the S/W line all the statues and busts were of the WK notice the sword to see that
King Darkness

Probably 2. So I can have a Witch King and a regular Nazgul. Depending on how they handle the WK thing.

Back in the day, I came upon about 17 Toy Biz 12 inch ringwraiths on clearance at TRU for 5.97 in the TT packaging. I bought nine and opened them all and displayed them in a "V" formation and they looked AWESOME!! I posed each in the same pose, standing straight with sword in front at a 90 degree angle held with both hands. So yes I would buy 9, just not at the same time but eventually I would get 9

If they make a dio with Arwen and Frodo on Asfaloth at the river with all nine on the other side 9 it'll be.

Just one. The Witchking in Armor doesn't count. I just want one Black Rider to represent, and if they ever make horses and all the hobbits, I can do the chase scene to Buckleberry Ferry.

Do you have any pics of that? I'd love to see them all together!
I know I'd get a Witch King and regular at least. I just wish we'd be able to pick them up over the years here and there for $30 or less.
