Sorry, but I couldn't stop laughing when I saw this...

Seriously though...is efx shutting down their operations? Haven't heard that and not trying to start anything but man....ghost town more so than normal for them.

Hopefully  some set-in-stone release dates will be announced at SDCC...

...but I highly doubt it :dunno

A leopard never changes it spots...

It was easier for me to get an uber rare ROTJ Stormtrooper blaster than for EFX to give a close to real date for their releases... Unless EFX employees were kidnapped by Marvin the Martian, I cannot understand the way they conduct business, their obsolete site, the lack of customer service. :( Sad

They're no longer even on my radar as far as collectibles are concerned. They've made a couple of really nice items but I'm not giving them my money again. Fan made from here on out where possible. I should be getting a fan made captain cardboard v4 in the next couple of weeks.

@ Mandible - I don't know why did you post that message on the other forum. It's like trying to explain the colors of the rainbow to a bunch of blind people - they are happy with what they know, no need to rain on their parade (I used rain instead of the p... word). They will never understand that there are issues with the company they love so much, nor they want to understand, there are always people like this in the world, and nothing you do will change it. Blind followers are important for certain people/companies/governments etc.

There are always the EFX "cheerleaders" :love out there, who will be happy with anything EFX makes, no matter how much time has passed since announcing the product, or even more important, since the paid pre-order. Many don't truly care about accuracy, never did - that is just a meaningless word, they care about low edition number (thus bigger monetary value in their eyes). They are happy to get a "classy display" containing a helmet, studio scale or a prop, especially if it comes with a numbered plaque (the lower the better), COA and display case. They also don't care about EFX's lack of communication and customer service. If a product will be released in 20 years, they will be happy like they hit a gold mine. Most of them didn't have any product issues with EFX (so far), and also there are some who believe that by supporting the company, EFX might remember them some day and obtain this way some favor (some people did indeed).

Then there are the EFX "haters" :cuss who don't like EFX's lack of communication and customer service. Very few say they don't like the actual EFX product, some of them wish it was more accurate to the described product, delivered faster or at least in a timely manner, even though research on it by the company might be still needed. They might have encountered some EFX problems before: damaged product on various levels, lack of response with credit card issues, lack of communication from EFX when something went wrong with the order/product, distribution issues etc. They want EFX to treat them with some respect by explaining the delays, especially when they are occuring for such a long time without any information - a newsletter or updated site would work too. They also consider one of EFX's problems to be that they announce things, they declare them the "ultimate", then they deliver some of them (some not at all) in a looong time, and not always as advertised.

:peace ;)

Yup. I know.. it is like banging your head against a brick wall - but I can't help myself :slap

My dismay comes from people who think it would all come to an end if eFX disappeared??? With the new film going to hit and all the new "hype" around the Star Wars brand, another - far more competent - company would pick up their license and fill that gap in a heartbeat.

Anovos is already kicking the crap out of them in the way they conduct themselves with the customers. Hopefully their final products will be up to par.

ALL eFX needs to do is communicate with the community. That would solve 90% of their ill-will with the community. But they've had that chance many times over - instead, they're arrogant, sloppy and inconceivably unprofessional.

I love my eFX TIE, but yeah, I'd never pre-order again. Product was nice, but communication was piss poor.

I own TIE Fighter (my top 5 collectibles), Stormtrooper LE, Vader Legend, and sold the Vader LE when I got the Legend. So I own quite a few big EFX items too.

This.

TK1701 who works for EFX declared on Rebelscum: "Actually, they (EFX) just renewed the license for Episodes 1-6. So not any time soon." eFx at 2015 SDCC?

Yay! 10 more years (or so) and we'll only see finished 2-3 helmets and one studio scale...

Astounding?????

I swear they must have a photo of someone of importance in bed with a goat.

Oh, well. Let them have it. Anovos is running rings around them anyway - except for Studio Scale's, which are virtually non-existant with them anyway. I'll be stumped if any of those (recently) "announced" Studio Scale's see the light of day for the next 3 years... if ever.

MR would likely have the license still if a few people had not gone crazy on Lucasfilm. Not shocking EFX still has it.

Some truly delusional thinking on display in that Rebelscum thread.

But maybe instead of writing forum posts bemoaning the hate his company is getting, that guy could spend the same amount of time penning a brief email letting us have some insight into whatever the hell is going on over there at eFX. God knows no one else is gonna write such a thing.

Or, maybe they could ask Anovos to write them an update? And while they're at it, maybe Anovos could just take over and make the damn helmets too.
