I might buy a Captain America but I don’t really like the current available suits but I’m leaning toward the TFA version

I tried to use the search function but it sucks and the stuck thread does not seem to list all of the threads available for Captain America.

So I figured I would start a consolidated thread which will help me and it may be useful to others

Use this thread to post opinions, known issues and any other useful information that could help a first time buyer

ALSO PLEASE list an versions I missed. Thanks

You left out the Avengers version and the Winter Soldier Golden Age Versiom.

I found and added the Golden Age Version.

I though Cap used the same suit from The First Avenger for the Avengers Movie?

I can't seem to find that one if it is different. Do you have the MMS number?

EDIT

I found the MMS number. It's MMS174 but I can't seem to find a link for it on SSC web site

For agood reason. :lol

What reason would that be?

He missed the Casual version as well.
I wouldn't consider that a Captain America figure. Steve Rogers figure.

You must have not watched the films to think he used the same suit. I don't think he'd use an old suit in modern times.

You pretty much answered your own question. You said you don't like the current suits. Sounds like you need to wait for later versions.

They should just find one design and stick to it. I don't recall Cap in the comics having different suits. Look at Superman, he wore the same costume in all 4 films.

Even though its not exactly a uniform and is more of a mix of civilian attire and Captain America parts I've always really liked the Rescue version of Cap a lot for some reason. He just has a really cool look to him I've always thought with the leather jacket and the Star Spangled Man suit underneath (even though you can only see the top of it). I wish that I had picked it up while it was still available on Sideshow.

I would like this thread to include all official CA figures, in uniform or civilian attire.

I watched Avengers when it first came out but didn't pay close attention to the suit.

So far I like the First Avenger Suit but as I said they might be others so that's why I started this thread.

I know others may be just getting into this and hopefully it will help them too.

I think The First Avenger version is still the best Cap uniform if you have to get only one, the only thing that sucks if you get that version is a lot of them came with crooked A's on the head and the paint on the shield tends to flake and peel off. Plus, it is still cheaper to get compared to the Avengers version or Golden Age version. I didn't like the Golden Age version, makes Caps look like a chubby kid, and the Avengers version, the figure is pretty good, but it looked really goofy on screen.

I would also definitely get the Strike suit, my 2nd fav Cap uniform, and AoU Caps looks pretty good too, a mix of TFA and Strike suit.

For as much as people don't like the Avengers suit, I'm amazed how much that figure has gone up in value in the last year. How would you rank them by value, hmmmmm?

I guess that's because it is as close to the original comic version of Caps we will get. I don't see them doing anything close to that again in the movies, it will be more tactical/ultimate caps look.

Bad suit, but the best figure released yet of Cap. Value is primarily because folks want the Avengers designs and team on display IMO.

Since this is "stuck" I was think I should add the thread links and info for the other figures, if that would be helpful?
