I'd rather have Peter Cushing, but I'd buy a Sherlock Holmes for sure.

Yeah Peter Cushing would be #1 for me, but actually I'd like the three main ones. Cushing, Brett, and Rathbone.

If it was actor based, Brett would be my first choice.

I'd rather have a Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes. He's the classic Sherlock Holmes and would fit in perfectly with the current lines of figures.

You know, a few months ago I would have agreed with you. Basil or Cushing all the way. Who was this Brett guy everyone clamored over after all? This summer i bought all of the Granada series on DVD. Now...it's gotta be Brett all the way. Don't get me wrong...I still loves me some Rathbone and Cushing. Brett is the definitive Conan Doyle Holmes to me now, however. He was just....perfect.

I know, Brett was good, my Dad's a really big Sherlock Holmes fan and so he has like the whole series and I've seen them all. But Basil Rathbone just looks the part way more than Brett, and he did a great job as well. I mean, the old Sherlock Holmes is just classic.

I think he is for me, too. He just embodied the character so perfectly.
