Registration is moderated. If when registering you receive an email like "you do not meet the requirements for membership" it is most likely one of 3 things:
1) You're a spammer and you had an untraceable IP address and/or a domain that looks like scam4us.ru.
OR
2) You're a great person but happen to have an untraceable IP address.
3) You're using an anonymous email or an email forwarding service.
If you are #2 then please email me and I'll make sure you get registered.
If #3, then register with your proper email address and it will be approved.
We have been getting a ton of new registrations from likely spammers. The confirmation email keeps most of these from getting through, but it's becoming tiresome deleting all the new registrations from spambots or people who are just trying to sell something.
One ISP that seems particularly attractive to spammers has turned out to be web.de with sometimes 20 new registrations a day here at SSF. So if you are interested in becoming a member here and your only email is web.de, please email webmaster@sideshowcollectors.com after you sign up, or your registration will be automatically deleted.
If you currently use web.de and have more than a couple of posts, you won't be affected.
Also if you register and you receive an email saying that your membership was rejected it is because your IP address or ISP look suspicious. Just email the address above about it and we'll probably approve you.
And I have to say, if you try to register a second membership it will be deleted. In the rare case where 2 members share a computer please email me BEFORE registering and we'll review the situation.
