Alright, this should be a little more diverse than Connery. What is the Best Roger Moore film (if one exists :monkey3 )

Live and Let Die
The Man with the Golden Gun
The Spy Who Loved Me
Moonraker
For Your Eyes Only
Octopusy
A View to a Kill

All but Octopusy should be spelt right this time (only way to read the title).

I'm not much of a Roger Mole fan, but Man with the Golden Gun is my favorite because of Christopher Lee's Anit-Bond character. My favortite villian is Jaws though. TSWLM was better than Moonraker though.

I went with TSWLM... although I felt that its silliness, especially with henchman Jaws, really started Bond down the path of no return and opened the flood gates for ridiculous Bond (ie Moonraker).

Still, although flawed and basically an 'underwater' version of YOLT, TSWLM was truly the last really memorable Bond movie for me...and it had a solid villain, an awesome car, some great stunts (that opening), a cool secret base with an impressively massive set, some good one-liners, and one red hot Bond girl.

A View to A Kill!

You have to love a movie that has Tanya Roberts and the awesome Christopher Walken as the bad guy!

Live and Let Die for me. I like the hint of occult in it and I just think it is a really fun movie. Plus Solitaire doesn't hurt. In rankings of which I think is the best I have to go with TSWLM.

This one is the closest so far, so if anyone hasn't voted on at least this one, please do. Might have to include number 1 and 2 in the final poll just to be fair.

Have to go with Live and Let Die... I loved that one.. The occult thing was very cool and having Bond out of his element made it all the more interesting. It was a more serious Roger Moore than we are used to seeing, no doubt because it was his first outing as 007. Solitaire was hot as hell and the story kept me interested.

The only down spot was the lame-o death of the main villian... how silly was that?? At least the henchmen got the cool train battle... ala From Russia With Love....

For Your Eyes Only dudes! I admit that Live and Let Die is a CLOSE second, Yaphet Kotto stole that show to me, and I love Geoffery Holder as Dr. Samedi (the creepy tophat wearing death guy).

But, for some reason, I love FYEO. I guess since From Russia With Love is my all time fave Bond film, and it is similar plotwise in that both are about getting hold of a decoder device, ala SPY STUFF, I just like the lack of "Taking Over/Threatening the World" stuff. Just good old spy stuff.

And, Moore literally kicked some. The shot of him, when he stands there and shoots that oncoming car that wrecks on the edge of the cliff, was cool enough, but when he then throws that dove pendant back in the car and kicks it, and the guy, off the cliff, it's COOLNESS INCORPORATED! Cold indeed. Man was a Double-O, Let's go! He does.

Les my man, For Your Eyes Only had only 1 thing going for it... Bond's visit to Tracy's grave. That teaser with Blofeld and the helicopter was so stupid I was expecting Mike Myers to reveal himself as Dr. Evil. I like Julian Glover and the chick with the crossbow but when I watched this on Cheeze BO I fell asleep through most of it.

Oh and the death of the Lotus. Pretty much cancels out how cool it was in Spy Who Loved Me.

While it seems Connery and Brosnan have very definate favorites, Moore is all over the place. The lead is only by one vote and then many other films just one vote behind the second place votes. Wow!

Currently both of Dalton's are also tied. Strange how earlier today License to Kill was like 6 to 0 and now its tied. It took a couple of hours for Live and Let die to get any votes and now it is one of the leaders!

It was close between For Your Eyes Only(first movie I remember seeing at the theater: oh yeah and Sheena Easton!), and The Man With the Golden Gun. But I Voted for Golden Gun. Christopher Lee, Agent Goodnite and Tattoo! And the whole duel at the end, I love this movie.

This by far is the most interesting of the polls with Dalton second because of the tie. Very strange how Connery and Brosnan are easy to pick a majority favorite but Moore is all over the place. I honestly expected TSWLM or TMWTGG to be the big favorites. Boy was I wrong!

It's really interesting to see the spread of votes on this one. All over the place.

I know only Moonraker and For Your Eyes only are really behind. The rest could tie TSWLM with one vote! Crazy! Not that I think the final result will really matter since I have a feeling the Moore film won't stand up to Goldfinger, OHMSS, Casino Royale, GoldenEye, or License to Kill (if it keeps the lead). Going to be interesting if the most recently viewed film is the current favorite.

Is Spike going to be doing a Bond-a-thon this Thanksgiving weekend again? I love it when they do that. Jaws also seems to be on Thanksgiving weekend a lot.

Moonraker all the way, baby! This movie did half of Mike Myers' work for him.

The Moore years really were the spoof period for Bond, with Myers only marginally outspoofing what was meant to be the real thing.
Dalton, like Craig, could act, (RSC) and his two outings were massively underrated, especially as Maryam D'Abo is my favourite ever Bond girl :monkey5 and the DBS V8 Aston, second only to the DB5 in the cool stakes.
Anyway, the best of the Moore years were the first two, L&LD & TMWTGG, before they became just too silly, with the former just winning because of the young Jane Seymour :monkey5

Now, enough chit-chat! Sideshow, where is our Daniel Craig figure??????
