Predator 3D Blu-ray - Anyone buying?

Hi all.

Was curious if anyone will be buying this, or pre-ordered it already?
Also, is anyone interested in the Limited Edition Predator Head Case bundle with only 500 being made?

If it's just a 3D version of the DNR mess that is the current release, I'm passing. I have the first release and I'm happy with that.

I have the horrible DNR version and I DEMAND a proper transfer instead of a 3D edition. Ughh!

Get the original release. It's grainy, but it's authentic and awesome.

Any extra's in this one? I only have the bare bones DVD before the one with the Hot Toys figure on the cover.

The original grainy version is great however I do like the Ultimate Hunter blu ray release. OK the jungle isn't as grainy but the Predator does look fantastic, especially the face reveal scene. I've never seen him look so real.

There's no chance a straight to video 3D conversion is going to be good

I'll be interested in reading reviews of this release.

When's this coming out? I don't see it on PO on Amazon.

Actually it's now being commented on in that very same thread I linked to that the new transfer is WORSE than the previous DNR abomination. Ugh.

I have a 3d TV and try to get all the 3d releases. Did pre-ordered this. The head is not 1:1, judging from the size if the base ( which supposed to be roughly the size of a BR box, but still, with only 500 made, and just the cool factor, I got tempted.

As far as the DNR release - I like it. Maybe because till then all I had was a crappy VHS copy, so the BR was a refreshing change, I dunno.

If it sucks - There is always someone out there who will buy it off me
