Possible to paint leather?

As in title, is it possible to paint brown leather black?

I don't know if you can get it completely black... but it's possible. I've taken light brown to a darker brown w/o much trouble. Just water down your paint quite a bit and then brush it on and rub the paint in with your fingers. Do that a few times until it's the desired color and you're good to go.

Now as I said, I never did this from one color to another, so it may not be 100% black when you're done. And make sure the paint is fairly thin, if it's to thick it will be very stiff when it dries.

Yes. I've used black acrylic paint on brown leather before. If it was for something 1:1 scale I would use a leather stain, but for 1/6 bits, acrylic is fine.
