Robert Galbraith, author of the detective novel "The Cuckoo's Calling" was revealed to be J.K. Rowling today.

And though it got good reviews back in April, its sales number was above 1500 copies. Now it jumped from the 4,709 spot on Amazon's bestsellers list to number 1 with 156,866% increase in sales in 1 day.

Tanks for posting. So sad that it takes a big name to get a book read vs great reviews.

But I'm glad to hear this book is better than her other post Potter book.

I went looking for the book the day it was revealed and no one had it. Got the 2nd printing and it already has that it's by Rowling on the dustjacket. That 1st printing is going to be more valuable than a Potter 1st edition.

And the book is great! I don't read detective mysteries a lot, but she really sets it up and delivers - and unlike 99% of TV detectives I wasn't 4 steps ahead and just waiting for reveals - there were a number of surprises I wasn't expecting.

I couldn't make it through The Casual Vacancy, but I really recommend this one for Rowling fans or even if you just like a good mystery.
