I bought one of the supposed pristine/clean "Special Edition" 3PO busts in order to do a review for my site.

However, it turned up today and although the box and base say "special edition" , it is the WEATHERED version (with restraining bolt).

Am I missing something as thought the Special Edition was Clean and without the retraining bolt - or is Sideshow just shipping anything?

Hi Jez,

Sideshow cancelled the clean version. They instead changed them to weathered versions and shipped them to retailers around the world, and also made them available for a short run on their official site.

So underneath the base, it will still say "Special Edition", but it is in fact just similar to the previously released bust of the same character.
