Now that Disney finally owns Star Wars…

I’ve been wondering if the hold up on any new Hot Toys Star Wars figures was because of the deal between Disney and Lucas for the purchase of the Star Wars rights/license/whatever you want to call it, and that now that it’s over how long(or if) we will get another character.
Pirates of the Caribbean has been milked pretty good by Hot Toys so I don’t see a problem with then getting license rights for Star Wars from Disney, but you never know. Disney may want more then Lucas did. I’m just wondering if or when we’ll see or hear something new besides the Han Solo rumor.

Hot Toys makes figures with permission from Sideshow, who sub-lets the license for 1:6 figures from Hasbro. Hot Toys has no license.

Yep 100% correct!

But the could get 1/6 rights for Asia couldn't they? Maybe Disney will change it up a bit. Either way I want more ht star wars

Medicom holds that license (who knows for how much longer; they don't make much use of it).
