For Beast and Colossus check out Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men.
 
I agree on the other suggestions also I enjoyed the wolverine weapon x series by Jason Aaron. I'm currently enjoying wolverine and the x-men as well which features a few of the characters. And also the x-men second coming/ messiah war and avengers vs x-men are worth a read
