OMG! I just noticed this forum today! How long has it been up?

Anyway a Firefly/Serenity line would be absolutely awesome! And Browncoats are super fanatical and would jump all over this line!! I'm a huge Whedon fan and love Buffy and Angel and thought no show would ever top them and then Joss created Firefly and I was hooked from the beginning!!

I know many Buffy/Angel fans that would love this line and I know many who loved Firefly/Serenity but didn't get into Buffy and Angel!

I hope if Sideshow ever does this line that they get are able to do products from both Firefly and Serenity because I'd want characters and costumes from both!

Give me a Mal PF and I'll be over the moon forever. Imagine it though, seriously. I can see it being like PF John Wayne. Even that pose too. I'll keep dreaming of it, as I know it would make one of the best PF's possible.

Hey, Sideshow, you can even do like Alfrex did back in the day with Seven Samurai and make a box set of the principal characters. I'd gladly pay (or flexpay) to get Zoe, Mal, Jayne, Wash, Kaylee, Book, Inara, Simon, and River at once.

I think that might be the only other obstacle in making the license feasable: people would want to know that all the characters were getting made. :)

Posting on this thread is like using a cell phone in the woods. No one can tell if anyone is getting the message. I know alot of people dropped by the Sideshow booth at SDCC and requested a line of Serenity/Firefly figures, but I'll never know if anyone is paying attention. All you can do is hope. I for one am still hoping that someone will take notice.

If quality figures are made they'll do well. Its the fact that all the Firefly/Serenity related collectibles thus far have been pretty crap. Therefore they dont sell and SS gets the impression its not a sellable line.

Yeah, thats the other side, tho given the level of interest and some recent "announced" product lines, I find it hard to beleive that sideshow don't want to make money.

So, I emailed SS about Firefly and was told that my request will be passed onto the Product Development Team. I asked mostly for PF's, but said that plenty would want the 12" figures as well.

I don't see SS ever doing this license. Even if they did, based on previous lines they have done, we would never get all the characters. Effort might be better placed petitioning other companies to do these figures. Amok Time may be a good candidate as they are doing more eclectic figures in smaller production runs than SS is probably willing to mess with at this point. Their continuation of the original Battlestar Galactica line looks promising. While Firefly has not been around nearly as long as BSG or Lost in Space, seems like they would fit better over there.

Sideshow, it is definitely time to start thinking about doing this line. The dvds for the series continue to be a top seller and the comics sell out faster than they can be printed. The fans of this show love everything about it and would love to have these figures - whether you do 12" or PF!! I collected every 12" Buffy/Angel figure you made (even though you short changed us with the Angel line) and I would buy these if you ever give us this line. I've never bought a PF figure but I'd buy any and all Firefly/Serenity figure(s) if you offered them.

Wow, what a great cast picture! I like those casual "out of outfit" pictures of casts in regular clothes. It just looks good. But on the other hand, I love seeing them "in character" too!

My good friend raved so much about Firefly I had to see the entire series...so I bought it! I loved it, and I then got the special collector's edition DVD set for Serenity and loved it too! The idiots at FOX cancelled this great show way too early! Joss Whedon is a genius! What a great creator and writer and director he is!

I'd love to see either Sideshow or Hot Toys make the entire Serenity/Firefly cast as 12" or 1:6 scale figures! I would buy them all! :D

Stargate isn't really so bad but it's on Sci-Fi and the rest of their programming is much lower in quality so that's why it does well.

Quantum Mechanix is already working on making a 20" version of Serenity, possibly with lights and rotating gravity ring, but it's been a while. It IS coming though, so we have to be patient, it'll be good.

I was discussing this with a friend the other day. If anyone ever picks up this line, it's going to be real discouraging if all 9 characters don't get made. With SS past record of dropping lines before fans get what they want (see the MANY threads on missing POTA and Buffy/Angel figures), I would expect them to do Mal, Jayne, River and maybe Zoe and then quit. The idea we came up with is to do 3 two packs and 1 three pack. The breakdown would be:
Mal and Inara
Jayne and Shepard Book
Zoe and Wash
River, Simon and Kaley

Any fans that cared enough about the show would be willing to pony up the extra bucks to get the most popular characters, with an additional character as a bonus. Plus I think more people who want all the characters would be more enthusiastic about the prospects of getting all the cast. If these get released one at a time by anyone I will be very sceptical that the whole cast will be made

Nope, not out yet. They want to have it at $500 for an LE version and then $550 for a Signature Edition (signed by Nathan Fillion). They were planning on having the preorder last September, but things got delayed and they had also switched to a new production factory so things got delayed even more. They're still working on the prototype and we'll be sure to know as soon as they have any more info. It'll be very nice though, I've seen the 3D model they're working off of and it's very detailed.

Still need figures for this line though. It seems Trevor wants to do some sculpts, but without it being part of his job I don't think that'll be completed very soon.

See, I'm of the opposite opinion. I have somebody lined up to sculpt me a new Sarah Conner head, and will probably use the same sculptor to do an Indiana Jones. I would rather someone do Firefly that doesn't require me having to pay someone else for custom heads.

Outstanding! I'm very jazzed to hear Trev is a Browncoat too! I have a Jayne and a Mal in progress and I finally found someone to do Mal's brown coat, I'll post photos as soon as I can. I worked with Steve on the rigs for both and he did an awesome job, Mal's boots are next. Finding out Trev plans on sculpting the entire crew is like Christmas in May.

OMG! I just noticed this forum today! How long has it been up?

Anyway a Firefly/Serenity line would be absolutely awesome! And Browncoats are super fanatical and would jump all over this line!! I'm a huge Whedon fan and love Buffy and Angel and thought no show would ever top them and then Joss created Firefly and I was hooked from the beginning!!

I know many Buffy/Angel fans that would love this line and I know many who loved Firefly/Serenity but didn't get into Buffy and Angel!

I hope if Sideshow ever does this line that they get are able to do products from both Firefly and Serenity because I'd want characters and costumes from both!

Pitty they produce nothing but junk (DIAMOND SELECT TOYS' that is), I can't imagine any of it sells, you'd think they would free it up for someone else to do a proper job.
