Anyone tried getting blood off of the chest and knee?

I may give it a go tomorrow morning when I get off work. Its something that can be easily remedied if I don't like the out come of the blood removal. That's why I tried the heads, out of curiosity, as I did say in my review that there wasn't anything I wanted to mod on this figure. :lol I just really ended up liking the chrome look a lot.

Here is a quick video on mine. There are tons of awesome reviews up on YouTube that out can go check out and since my camera is busted here he is best captured as I could with some nice music to play. I will be getting the DX10 and a extra body so I can switch the Semi Damage sculpt onto it. Once I get the parts the the Full Battle Damage sculpt will take the DX13 body along with the damaged arm. I switched this amazing piece around for hours and had really fun.As much as I want the Full Battle Damage sculpt I'm going to wait till I get the body and other parts so I can switch the Semi onto it. I really love this figure and is one of my favorite pieces now. I'm just blown away and the likeness is just amazing. Hot Toys has done it and is there best figure yet. I did take pictures but aren't great. May try to fix my camera later and get the photos on here but we'll see. Congrats to all who got this or who are going to. Here's my video enjoy! :duff

True, although I'm sure we'll see people selling off their extra(s) as other new figures come out. Ultimately I think many people will settle on one look and interchange them every now and again.

At the moment while the figure is so fresh its hard to be disciplined.

Well speaking for myself who missed out on the DX10, I missed the T-1 as well, I hope this is worth the hype. The pics are just blowing me away that I've seen so far, it looks like you can't take a bad picture of this guy.

I'll have to admit I try to stay away from BD pieces, but this is one BD look I've loved since the first time I saw the film in my youth.

This will be my first full on BD Hot Toys figure. I've never owned anything so bloody in 12" form.

I didn't like the MMS body too much on the first T-800 release. I always hated how the old shoulders wouldn't articulate too much.

I'm looking forward to posing this figure. From what I saw about the TTMM20 it's seems like a good body to pose.

Btw, I got an update, I should have mine been tomorrow afternoon.

OK, I'm in Calgary and figured that was maybe the case with Angelica. If they sent to us, they'd have to declare the full value of the figure which means potentially paying $50.00 in duties for a figure you never asked for and is probably worth diddly on the secondary market. Other thing is it's not like they owe us a free figure or calendar (no offense but it sounds like from how you mentioned it, that you felt entitled). I did happen to have the calendar packed in my DX13. I haven't opened it, yet. If you want I can ship it over to you (just pay shipping, of course).

lol typical Albertan (huge heart - I'm was born in Alberta)

I do feel entitled, it's a damn calendar... I order thousands$$$ form those C**nts.... haha.... no worries man enjoy your calendar, it was just the principal, why reward "some" of your customers.

As for the customs on Angelica, I do understand the shipping & customs fees thing, I did however offer to pay those things....

Anyways, I love hot toys and I wasn't really complaining, just thought it was SO funny they thought I would pay $25 for a calendar they "should" have sent

Speaking on the statue, I think the EX is completely stupid. It doesn't match with the scene/body and it looks stupid on the T-1000 figure. No offense, I know people have done that. That statue itself is useless to me, namely because it must be interactive with the T-800 to look right due to the hole. Now if they would have included a statue of when he just reformed after he was blown to pieces in the steel mill I would have been stoked!

Having said all of that, I totally get why some people really dig it. Mainly those that are into dioramas and completists like a-dev.

You know this figure got me thinking about this for some reason. In the film we know T2 changes into Sara at the end to try and trick John. Why didn't he change into T-800? Is it because he was a machine? Only on the inside though, and his outer skin could have been copied. It would have been cool to see Arnold have that look in his eyes from the first Terminator one more time.

I think not only that the T1000 could only copy a living being. I think John asked the T-800 if the T-1000 could disguise himself as anything like a pack of cigarettes, and the t800 said that the t1000 can only disguise itself as something of equal size, I think in the Director's cut version the T-800 told them that the T-1000 can't replicate other terminators or something like that. :lecture

Personally I wish they added the element that T-1000 could disguise itself as anything, I would've loved to have seen scenes were Patrick would liquidate into a dog or a bug or even a gun, those scenes would've been something. How about a motorcycle and he would try to grab the t-800 and John with silver hands coming out of the motorcycle when they were riding it.

But I still like how Cameron still gave the feeling that the t-800 was still a Terminator, just only reprogrammed,

John.. " you could've killed that guy "
T-800.. " Of course..I'm a Terminator "
John.. " You can't go around killing everybody "
T-800.. " WHY "

There was again much staring at this figure last night. As there no doubt will be again later.

You know, I started really looking at that semi bd hs last night and compared it to the DX10 Arnie and you might be on to something about that hairline/wide face observation. I think if it just came in a bit problem solved. Also, less puffy on top would help too.

That's why I like the Semi damaged head. I'm still debating if I should strip the blood off the chrome on both. As I was watching the film certain angles and scenes made it look like the blood was heavily smeared like HTs did and in other scenes it wasn't. Now of course that can be due to the makeup they used on Arnold and the fact that each scene was probably filmed in different hours on different days, so the makeup could change.

I guess I'll know when I have it in hand. That's when I can tell for myself what needs to be done.

I'm really curious to see what effect the hairline alteration would have. I hope its the only reason the face seems wide from the front, could well be. And other than my usual niggles with the overall hairshape* and the ball-joint head* its seems, to me, to be as good as you're gonna get.

Has anyone know a good way to pull off the neck peg of the liquid statue? Is it ok to use the hair dryer to heat it because it's freaking tight.

Did anyone try this? I use the neck peg from ttm 21(regular body) but it's too short. I wonder if the neck peg of ttm 22 works because it's slim body fit with T1000?

Yeah, looks like the neckless hs is the preferred look for most people including HT. I have accepted this, even though Arnie's profile likeness would improve drastically with the sculpted neck hs.
Also, I think a hairline adjustment would make a huge difference on the semi bd hs cause it looks like they were matching the BD side that was working around the exposed endo for the clean side, which causes that wide effect.

It doesn't look good, unless everything is chrome imo.

OK cracked him open and had a gander. Its a fantastic package and he looks great set up in full BD. However one thing that irritates me is the tailoring on the BD jacket. In my eyes, its horrible, seems massive on him for some reason so i've had to trap the jacket under his arms to make it look less baggy. Also the crotch grabber seems too big for the slot in the base. I was never going to use it anyway which is a first but still.

Another thing i noticed right away, the semi BD head looks HUGE, does he really have that big of a head? the full BD looks much better in proportion.

As for the T-1000, he is forever trapped in the box. I can't bring my self to display it, he looks like a golf trophy what was running through their minds i don't know :slap.

All in all im pleased with him, i don't think i'll be keeping my second when my UK supplier gets his stock, one is enough.

Well you made the jacket look OK in your pics but I agree, its too big. And I don't think trapping the excess under his arms is a satisfying fix so its MMS jacket all the way for me even though I'll have to do the bullet holes myself.

On the big head issue. I don't really see it. It actually took me awhile to notice that the heads are bigger than DX10s. I'm not sure why its standing out for some of you.

Yeah, I get ya, sixth. The calendar does kinda surprise me as you'd think it comes from a marketing budget. I'll be cutting down on the amount of stuff I order direct from SSC, myself, just because our dollar's going down a bit (in addition to the shipping/duties).

I decided not to buy complete figures for every version I want to create because of the storage I would need for all the boxes so I figured I'd buy some partouts. 2 more bodies and 2 semi-bd heads would have done me from Toy Anxiety. Ebay prices for other parts I need are more tolerable.

The insanity in chronlogical order:

-SWAT shootout
-''for play'' multi-purpose Hasta La Vista/fighting against MMS129 figure
-Scanning pose
-punching liquid metal T-1000 statue
-arm stuck in gears figure
-attacking T-1000 with rod/getting pummelled by T-1000 with rod
-crawling/impaled T-800
-''Its over, goodbye'' scene T-800

Hopefully with proper dioramas for at least some of these one day.

:thud:

Hasta La Vista = "Scanning pose" minus the grenade launcher.

Literally the only difference is changing out a hand/accessory and turning the eyes. Now I could see having a duplicate for the T-1000 statue, that'd be a ***** constantly changing out the hand to get the arm in there. But hundreds of dollars for something as simple as popping off a hand and turning the eyes to the left? That's madness! Hell, without a proper Steel Mill gear or severed Endo forearm, "stuck in gears" and "attacking T-1000" are the same version.

"You know what you're doing?" - John Connor

Seriously though, I'm impressed. 8, EIGHT! That takes some serious dedication. You better take pics of this crazy army you've mustered.

Wow... Very impressive... Am sure your total terminator movie figure count must be skyrocketing...

Well, y'know just 2 well displayed and well posed semi-BD and full BD T-800s is impressive. Let no one feel that their collection is inferior to mine just because I'll have more. Mine is a degree of obsession with this one particular film that people don't need to have to still be fans.

I have detailed files, Difabio. But yeah you're correct. Some of my variants are mere pose/accessory changes. I just don't want to have to do that. Personally I rate each scenario of high enough importance to want to display all simultaneously.

But yeah, it is madness, which at present time I am going to let myself away with.

However, I will not do this on any other license. With Robocop I might exhibit a little madness - I'm thinking of 1 standing clean Robo, 1 standing semi BD Robo, 1 seated clean Robo and finally the full BD Robo but that's the closest I intend to come (to my T2 insanity) on any other license. Everything else I buy will be one and done, sell the old and replace with the new kind of scenarios.

Ive made an order while cybermonday and asked to keep it until they part the t800 because im abroad and shipping is expensive so might as well wait and ship all at once.
Got no answer assumed it was going to take really 7 days...

Now im considering buying a whole figure fom somewhere else even if some parts are still up for grabs... But i would have to deal with parting the parts i dont care for wich is a pain in the ***...

Love that second close-up shot. I do think the hairline flaw can be seen there on the right (his left), too much skin (or 'scalp' since there should be hair there) showing. However the face looks superb.

I just find it weird that HT can't seem to nail his hair. NECA managed it on first attempt, Enterbay on their second, but this is HT 3rd go and its still not completely right. I'm not a sculptor but what's so hard, I don't get it.

That aside though, its an amazing release.

Makes no sense. It'd be like me buying 3 ASM figures or 3 Bane figures after I've been in the threads ripping them. I just don't get it. I thought the claim was, "I bought the DX 10 for nothing now, Hot Toys ruined it, I can't sell my dolls in Russia"?

I've stayed clear of these threads because I'm not able to get any of these BD T2 figures, Enterbay or HT, but I have to say, seeing the final product, HT really went back and refined it and turned out a wonderful looking figures. It still has some issues but their fixes on the portraits were the areas they really needed to fix and they did a great job. I've really been enjoying everyone's photos of this figure, some wonderful work turning out.

I enjoyed your set recreating the pole stabbing scene, I couldn't have even done that, all I'd have is a BD T-800, sold off my T-1000s long ago. The only thing that really bothers me on this one now is how big the whole on the pants is, I get making the leg look like it does for articulation, but could have kept the opening small.

Thanks. That was really just to put across the idea with the grated floor, as far as the quality of the pics themselves, well, they were crap, I wasn't trying in any way. One day I hopefully will and will do a more complete set with proper lighting, no 1:1 world distractions, and actual movie shots recreated.

Yeah the hole in the pants stayed huge. I don't think they made any adjustments to the final product other than on the headsculpts. They obviously just wanted to show off their fancy work on the knee damage and so deliberately left the huge tear. At the moment I have no particular desire to replace all the pants though.

Cleaned both sculpts up some more made the chrome pop more in the light, I can't believe how nice it came out when I woke up this morning.

I really think HT should've started really subtle with the blood this sculpt is fantastic!

At first I thought I should clean up the arm and leg, but it turns out as soon as modded the face, now the excessive blood kinda of compliment the head sculpt and it doesn't bother me anymore.

Normal, no frills, simple daylight shots. This might be my display pose.

The only other time I bought a second of the same figure was with the DX11. That didn't last too long and I got rid of the extra. This one however, I can't wait until I receive the parts for the second one. He is bd on screen for such a short time, but both the semi and full bd looks are epic and the DX13 does it justice.

The only HT figures I have bought twice is the MMS117 Terminator, DX11 Joker, Catwoman, and the DX13 of course, Usually I just get parts to build extra figs.
Agreed both sculpts need showing off with the DX13, Imo. Simultaneously if possible.

If by "review" you mean me just saying a bunch of times over how awesome this figure is, then yes, a "review" may be uploaded on YouTube sometime today or tomorrow. :rotfl
I'm on the lookout for it :)

Simple but expressive

I know everyone loves the full bd sculpt as do I, but IDK this just leaves me in awe

I know this isn't movie accurate I just love the result! :clap

Yeah, I usually just throw the figure on top of a speaker or leave it in the detolf and snap away, but I'm starting to feel the need to have a decent background. I was thinking about picking up some poster paper and using that for a backdrop in the near future. It can't hurt :lol

in my short time of collecting these figs, this is by far the best
the detail on this fig is amazing, the likeness of Arnold is spot on
my wife has a friend over and she couldn't help but to admire

honestly, I was kind of regretting this purchase due to the premium I paid and not being as big of a terminator fan as I am of superheros, but that quickly disappeared after getting him in hand

2 best hot toys imo
